Jen, I was thinking of another brain, but the second poster said we only utilize 10% of our brain now. I would love to activate the other 90%, and we wouldn't need two heads, or unusually large heads.

As much as I would like an extra pair of hands or a spare set of teeth in case I lose the ones I have now, if we’re talking organs I would say that an extra heart wouldn’t go astray because if this particular organ fails, everything else will too. An extra brain would be good too...No...I’ll stick with the heart! I have a friend who is having a kidney transplant next year; I know what she would wish for...

Hey balasri, as the first responder responded this can become a perverted discussion. Yes seriously speaking, I would like to have two hearts .

Nah, one more extra organ would already be too much. It's always good to just have what it enough for you. Though what Id like is to fully maximize the use of the organs that I already have. Im sure most of my organs are working nonstop, but the human brain only uses 10% of its function. I would love to fully maximize the capabilities of my brain and use 99% of it. Im leaving the 1% as a leeway just in case that my body couldnt handle all the activity, or else I might go insane with that much brain activity.LOL I can only imagine what my brain could be capable of if it does use all 100% of it.^_^

What about people with brain or nuerological disorders? Do you know how much they use? And does IQ have anything to do with it?

Which parts of the brain are actually used, and for what?

I could find a way to make this a rather perverted conversation.

Not so fast and Sorry to know that you have misunderstood my discussion.I would like to have a third eye to give rest to the other two when I feel tired to read an interesting book.
I just started this discussion in this context only.I am making this clear to the other people who may hesitate before responding by reading your response.

I made a funny.
Um, let me think.
I think I would want an extra set of lungs so I can donate them to someone who needs them.

Yeah having an eye at the back could be a real boon.
No one will dare to talk behind our backs.
The chance of getting a bang on our head by a mugger in a dark alley is remote.
You can give rest to all your eyes alternatively.
You can always act turning a blind eye with your stealthy eye wide open.
You can always pose as a gentleman without staring at a passing beauty waiting for her to come into full focus of that michevous eye at your back.
Backing up the car would be a child's play.
Thee possibilities are infinite as the images you can see when you stand in front of a mirror with a mirror at your back.

We all nourish the idea of having extra appendages all through our lives. Our ancestors attributed our wishes and thoughts to the gods and godesses and add more significance to these extra organs too.Like the image of one of our Hindu Godess Kali with four hands.

Hi Bala, being honest I am quite happy with the organs I have and see no reason to either have another one or want one personally..but it will be fun seeing what others have to say! lol

A pair of pancreases like a pair of lungs.Great ideas as more and more people are afflicted with diabetes because of the modern life style.I am eagerly looking forward to new inventions and medicines that will make this affliction.I see a lot of youngsters also complaining of less sugar tolerance nowadays.
