Chelsea are still in the pole position to win the EPL, though now it is a one game margin, with Man U breathing down their necks. I think the key period for Chelsea would be January when their African players would go for the African Cup of Nations. That would mean Drogba, Kalou, Essien, Mikel everyone out and that would test the team. If they can emerge from that period in tact, then they will go on to win the EPL. Cheers! Ram

No. I dont think so. Yes, Chelsea does look a pretty decent squad, but Anguelotti needs to know what it is to coach a team in Barclay Premier League. Plus, they have Manchester United on their tail right now. If i have to choose,I will choose Manchester United not because of my favourite but they have the most potential to win the EPL title. And yes, Chelsea will give a hard or tough fight for the title itself. I will still choose Manchester United.

chelsea definitely can win the league title this season because of their current form. With Drogba in the form of his life, does plays a crucial role for in deciding so. Also the reason that no other team has seemed so threatning to scare chelsea. i kno manchester united are close, but its not the same team that was a year ago.

The most crucial period for this season EPL will be the African Cup. This is extremely important to Chelsea, and also to other clubs, who have alot of African players. Imagine Drogba and Essien gone. Do the managers have what it takes to find a better substitute during that period of time? Or will squad that does not depend much on African players take advantage and lead? All this will be questions asked next year.

I think Chelsea have the quality and potential to win the EPL.But they will be given a run for their money by Manchester United. Even last year they were ahead of United by 5 points at this stage but the tables were turned after the Christmas break. This year United is again breathing down their neck.Let us hope for the best.

I think Chelsea has the best chance to win the Premier League this season, but I was surprised that they lost yesterday (to City). I think they have a very strong defence, and one of the best strike partnerships in the League. I also think that they have been relatively lucky with injuries - i.e. lack of - whilst potential title rivals (United, Arsenal, Liverpool) have seen a lot of their top players crocked. If they can keep up their consistency of performance in the new year and pick up a couple of results against the top four sides, I don't think anyone can stop them. Sadly.

Chelsea is a good bunch, but they are not consistent... the loss to city was obvious... the solitary goal that they had against their name was also from an own goal... and the penalty that lampard missed was also heart breaking... i have hardly seen lampard missing spot kicks... but i must say City played really well... the 2nd goal of Tevez was a super shot...City has got a potent attack at this point of time... after so many draws they have finally won a game that too against a big team... i will not be surprised if City goes on to win a few crucial games in the coming months... As for Chelsea, i hope they win EPL this time...
