India became the number one Test team after beating Sri Lanka at Mumbai.India displaced South Africa as the top test team in the world.It took 77 years for India to reach the pinnacle of Test cricket.Hats off to the great team work.Congratulations Team India.

Yes, congratulations to the team. I think over the past 2 years India has been the best test team around. But, their progress report still has two pages missing which is series victories in Australia and South Africa. I think now that they have made it to the top, they will want to stay there for long. For this they will have to rectify the two missing achievements in their resumes.

Yes! India need to win in Australia and South Africa to prove that india is the real world no. 1. Just like Australia called india the final frontier its time for us to call Australia and SA as final frontiers!

Ya,Test cricket deserves a team like India to reach the top at some point of time and you cannot reach there without performing well.
Dhoni and his team have done extremely well and we can also see how well the ICC ranking system is working. First Australia dominated it, then South Africa and now you have India at the number one.The fact that the top three-four teams have a very narrow gap separating them from each other speaks volume of the competitiveness at the highest level.For that number one spot, you have India, Australia and South Africa challenging each other. It makes Test cricket a lot more exciting. Clearly the most cricket-crazy nation, India's ascent to top comes at a time when Test cricket's future looks uncertain in the face of the competition from the limited over formats.Keep posting.Happy mylotting.

Yes its nice to see India at the top of the teams. They are a very strong team now and I wish they can some how manage to win the world cup this time. I mean we have done a lot of thing in the past. But the world cup is something which we would like to see again this time. Plus this world cup is special because it will be held in India. So this is the time.

Yes, it feels really great to see India at the summit of cricket and I feel proud for this achievement of team India. Congratulations to them. It has taken the collective effort of all the players and team management for this long-cherished success to come true. India on its road to the top has shown some real character and masterful game play in the matches. The captaincy of M.S. Dhoni has a big role in it too. Every player has contributed to the success. The veterans in the team also played their part in reaching at the goal. In short, it was a collective effort and I hope this form of our team continues into the future and our team plays such good cricket.Lets hope for the best!!!

ya,India's rise was not based on individual talent but the culmination of hard work by the players, coach Gary Kirsten and support staff.Along with all, the leadership of M.S Dhoni and the team's effort, so the whole team got together and worked hard.This vitory was not achieved through one or two individuals, but it was a long process and everyone has contributed, whoever has been a part of the side for the last 18 months.Team India rocks.Keep posting.
