India was the site of one of the oldest civilizations ever in the world, centered in the Indus River valley. Different parts of India were under control of the Aryans and later controlled by the Moguls, European states, and local Nawabs and raja or kings. And as you know, the British finally assumed authority over “the Jewel in the Crown” in 1857; however, Queen Victoria did not assume the title of empress until 1876. In the 20th century increasing unrest led to Britain's withdrawal and independence for the country in the year 1947. New Delhi is the capital of India.
According to geographical area India is the 7th largest country in the world. India is the founding member of the United Nations and many other such associations.
Very well said, India has extreme cultural diversity and yet there is Unity in Diversity. There is extreme diversity of food, clothes, languages, religion, etc. People of different religion celebrates their own festivals together very happily.
Indian architecture also represents the diversity of Indian culture. Temples and mosques and other historical monuments attracts tourists from all over the world. One of the most notable monuments is the Taj Mahal which is situated in Agra, Utter Pradesh. It is among one of the seven wonders.
Cultural diversity is also evident by music and dance. There are different folk music and folk dance in India which represent a particular caste, religion, or region. Each state has different dance pattern and folk music.
With time India has changed a lot and is looking forward to stand amount powerful nations of world. I love India.

Hi friends
The India and it's beauty in terms of unity is very popular in the world. This is only the nation where this much of religion resides. You may also know that the "PARSI" religion is alive in India only. Also India have the oldest culture and all other was refins from these cultures. This is not a tale this is a scintific truth. All other countries were borne later on. This was India who have absorbed evrything but with the time as well as the rulers in India, India became some backward than the developed country but the day is not far when it will be on the top. Thanks for describing about the India.

National sport of India is HOCKEY and Not kabbaddi. Apart from that all the other information are good. But I still wonder while mentioning about India, why often everyone forgets to mention ASSAM and its 7 sisters. Even they belong to the country right. Right from the national anthem, the 7 sisters + Assam name is missing. Moreover you have not mentioned about any places in South India too. Your explanation is good but please make sure that yours is in detail and not confined to a certain location. Have a great day and happy Mylotting
