How many of you practice Reiki?

Reiki is my constant companion. I have passed 2 stages which are enough to keep oneself composed on a day to day basis. It is interesting to watch how it helps in alleviating day to day problems.

Since you have brought up the subject here, I will share something with you. Twenty years ago, I had developed a power to heal. I had not heard about Reiki that time. One of my friends was suffering from amebiosis. He looked emaciated. I was greatly troubled after seeing him. I knew nothing about amebiosis too. I told him I would pray for him. Third day he came to see me and told me that my prayers have cured him completely. I doubted and thought that it couldn't be just due to my prayers. After some time he came and told me, his wife had developed some gynaec problem and he asked me to come and pray for her. I declined but I asked him to tell me his wife's name and said I would pray for her. I did as I promised and he came back to tell me that she is healed. I thanked God but still I was diffident. I was not sure that my prayers had the power to heal. Later I healed many of such sicknesses like piles, diabetes, without as much as touching them. One thing which invariably happened was that I too suffered at least for two days the same way the other person was suffering. May be I was able to heal because I was able to experience other person's pain and suffering. All this lasted just for few months. One night in my dream, someone told me to stop whatever I was doing. He told me you are wasting the power given to you. He said there is lot of suffering in the world and how many people you thing you would be able to heal. He asked me to pray for those who have not yet come into this world. Pray that they may not have the same suffering the way these people are suffering. Well, I still sympathize if I find someone in pain. Only thing is I pray little differently. I say, "God give this person a power to bear his pain and please see to those who are not yet come into this world. They may not have same sufferings as him." I met many Reiki masters much later. I knew only those who can experience other people's pain and suffering can perform Reiki well. You will have to experience the pain to the extent that the feelings should be able to produce the same symptoms in your own body. I feel one must not use it for self healing. You may use it for others, the strangers, and still better for those who have not yet come into this world. Use it for universal good and its efficacy would increase.

I have gone through two degrees and Reiki is precisely meant for curing oneself and also others. It is the use of cosmic energy which is routed through the 7 chakras that exist within ones body. You can search the net and you will find enough material to understand the subject.

That's real research achilles. My husband and I both underwent two degrees and it is my constant companion. It has worked for me especially to accept things that I cannot change. Its great. The prayers that we need to say are: I thank God, I thank my higher self, I thank Reiki, I thank the Reiki Master for the power and energy that is flowing through me. Just for today I shall stay in the attitude of gratitude, Just for today I will not get angry, Just for today I will not worry, Just for today I will be honest. Just for Today I will respect those around me. Honestly achilles whatever be the explanation there is substance in here.

I looked up wikipedia; it says lot about Reiki, for and against both. It gives the result of trials conducted on Reiki in the year 2008.

It is not feasible here to explain all about this wish box. You might like to search the net for this information and there will be countless sites that will help you out.

I learnt Reiki 2 stages. It was indeed helping me in day to day problems. Even my friends in office used to come to me when they had severe headache and were telling that they were feeling better. But now I am not practicing it. So no power in me. But whenever my daughter goes for college, I say chokare, chokare in my mind.

Just uttering those signs will not help. You will have to do distant Reiki on your daughter and since you say that you have done the second degree this is possible.

I AM active again after 2years in mylot, hence late in responding. I am also a Reiki Master, and I practice it very regularly. I believe the distance healing. It is HARMLESS, and safe. Compare it with the modern diagnostics and medical practice. If you reach a doctor with pain in the neck, .. all you are given is a painkiller, to increase your acidity, and some battery of tests,. ... before you are finally diagnosed or mis-diagonized. or AGONIZED. .. goodluck with your practice.

A bit late response, but I wanted to say I practice Reiki too. Since I started many years ago I'm a much calmer, happier and nicer person to be around. Also my life has changed in many ways towards the better.

I learned reiki to help one of my grandchidren when he was dying. It did help him but now I practice it onlt once in a while. I have been thinking lately how much it helped him and that I should start again just to start the day in a good pace.
