Just thought I would ask everyones opinion. My daughter and her liv-in boyfriend of 2 years had been having some problems so she came and stayed with us for 2 days. They decided to try and work things out so she went back. The next morning she was on her way to work at 8 in the morning and got in a bad car accident. She called her boyfriend while waiting on an ambulance and all he kept asking was if the truck was drivable. He never asked if she was OK and never even thought about going to her. She was only about 2 blocks away. He says because he got off work that morning at 1 that he was too tired to realize what he was saying. COULD THIS REALLY BE TRUE???? He was awake enough to be asking about the truck!!!!!!!! Sorry but if it was my loved one out their I would have been running down the street to be their with them. SHE LEFT HIM. We went and packed her stuff as soon as she got out of the hospital and got her the heck out of their. What does everyone else think. Did she do the right thing?? I sure think so.

I think ABSOLUTELY!! Wow, how heartbreaking, that's horrible. The first thing out of my mouth would be Are You Ok? Screw the truck, as long as your okay, I'm thanking my lucky stars. Good move for her to leave.

WOW!! Your daughters boyfriend sounds like my daughters boyfriend! She's 7 month pregnant with his child, yet if she wants to come visit him (he lives 181 miles away going to school) he makes sure she has enough money to cover eating expenses (because that isn't his responsibility!) and everything like that. As far as your situation, I know it's hard, but everything I say something to my daughter she starts defending her boyfriend, and yours may do the same thing. Did you do the right thing, heck yes, I just hope she stays the heck away!

If this were the ONLY thing that he did and was otherwise a kind and considerate, loving person then I would say that maybe she reacted too quickly. I mean it is questionable for sure that he would ask about his truck before making sure that she was fine. Then again, he was half asleep and we all react differently in a crisis. The fact that they were already having problems makes me think that this was just the final straw and that she really was at the point where it was time to leave anyway. He doesn't sound to be the most thoughtful guy. I think she probably did the right thing.

hi littlehill oh she really did do the right thing. If he really 'really loved her he would have go to that hospital as fast as he possibly could, no matter what was going on. his boss would have let him go in an emergency.NO he was too set upon his own needs and not worrying at all about the woman he said he loved. oh the truck, he did love the truck. his priorities were all screwed up for sure. She was one smart lady, your daughter.
