Every year I try to make as many gifts as I can instead of buying them. It's a lot cheaper, plus helps keep me out of the consumerism trap. This year there will be cookies, hot chocolate mixes, candles, secret compartment books, and I'm hoping a couple knit hats. What about you? Are you planning to make any gifts this year?

I am baking cookies. I am also knitting wristwarmers for a lot of my presents. I have a few other gifts to knit. This will cut down on the number of gifts I am buying.
I've been having fun, though, trying to find different things to make/buy that aren't too expensive.

I am making a lot of things. Really I think I got in over my head. I still have a ton of things to do but at least I know there is a little cash left over if I need it. I think I am almost done but I never know until it is all wrapped and under the tree. Good luck with all your crafty stuff. And Merry almost Christmas.

A couple. I have a very unusual zucchini bread recipe that is amazing. So I will be making and sending that to a couple of people this year. My son is having eye surgery next week and with all the pre surgical appointments, the surgery, and all of the follow up appointments I am not going to have much time to make anything else. I am hoping to make some fudge to have ready as emergency presents or for teacher gifts.
