I have been wanting to buy a Nintendo Wii now for a few years. I was thinking to myself why is the price still so high, by now the price should have been down to at least 120.00 or so. Do you feel that the Wii is costing too much still? Let me know what you think and let me know if you own one if you feel it is worth the price? Thanks and happy mylotting to you.

I own a Wii but I managed to get one during a sale. I bought the Wii after the price dropped to $199.99. I got a $25 giftcard with it and because of some giftcards that I had I was able to knock more money off and with one game and the Wii I only spent $200. I considered that a good deal.

I dont think its too expensive, but i dont think its too cheap either. Nintendo have drop down the price $200. I think the just price should be $150. What worries me is price of the games or even worse the accesories. A guitar hero kit cost almost a wii also the wii fit balance thing as well.

Hubby and I thought it was an outrageous price when it first came out. With a family as large as ours (we have 7 children ages 16 down to 15 months) we couldn't have afforded it. I'm glad that the price came down some. Someone from church blessed us with $200 for Christmas and hubby went and bought it. I think it is definitely worth it because you can do so much, not only on your own but with your kids. Think about it. How much would it cost for a family to join a gym? Way more than the $199 it cost for a Wii with a game.
Sincerely in Christ,
Leesa C.

Hi, Mommy!
It's definitely too costly. If it weren't, I'd be using Woo fit. I haven't seen a lower price than $199 anywhere, except for used ones. I don't trust used electronics, because I can't help wondering what was wrong to make a person get rid of it!

A lot of times people get rid of them because they get bored of them. If you purchase from a reputable source you will hardly ever have problems....I bought my Wii 2 years for 179.99 plus GST. The Wii Fit is expensive though, but I also feel that was money well spent.
Cheers.

I really don't think that they are too expensive. You have to think what can this product do. They have alot out there and really it is a good deal. The only way you are going to get it down to 120.00 is wait for quite a few years. At that time there will be more gaming systems out there. They are also the price they are because of the name Nintendo since it's been around forever it seems and because it is so high in demand still. There are tons of people all ages looking to buy them.

I totally agree that the Wii still costs too much. However, I noticed that the Dollar Tree had some of the accessories for a dollar, things like the tennis racket. My daughters have the Wii and love it. The one that's divorced is very frugal but she bought one and she and the boys have a lot of fun with it. She uses the fitness one a lot and her kids do too. They also enjoy the miniature golf one. I even have my own character and play it when I visit. The grandsons help me conquer some of the obstacles. It's a great bonding experience for us.

Yes. I think alot of these games systems are very overpriced. We have not bought one because it is high priced and we rarely have time to play games anyway. We may buy one when the price comes down and we have more time though.

I think it's kinda expensive for entertainment, but it's really fun if you know you are going to use it quite often, and if you have friends over quite often and know that it will not become a white elephant.
i don't own one, but have friends who do. right now with a baby i don't have many chances to play. but if i did i think it would be a great source of fun and exercise.

I purchased a Wii last Christmas for our family and have not regretted it for one minute. My wife and I are both severely handicapped and we enjoy bowling very much. We were limited to watching for the past few years until the Wii, now we bowl quite often. Hey guess what no lane fees.
In our case the price was not to high, even at $249.00. If you go through Big Crumbs and to Wal-Mart you can get it now for $199.00, that price includes the bowling game as well as Tennis, and some others. So I think that the price is reasonable.

The price has gone down. It is still expensive. But with the rate having gone down, I am considering the purchase. I wouldn't have done so before when it was higher.

In England a wii cost about £180 and is very expensive. It is still quite new and it will be a long time before the price drops. You could see if someone wants to sell one second hand but make sure it is working first.see it working in someones house before you buy it.

I definitely think the wii cost too much, because for that price you have to ocnsider what you are getting, the wii does'nt have much quality games and software for it.There are about 10 games that are value for money and besides that there is a whole lot of rubbish, But thats my opinion as I sold my wii last year. Also if you are into all the motion sensing stuff then I recommend that you waot a few months because sony and microsoft are releasing some awesome hardware that promises to be much better and much more accurate then the wii's wiimote. But i you still want a wii and you are desperate for one then I say that you look aroud on eBay or swoopo (www.swoopo.com) ....but I recommend swoopo above evrything becaus eyou can probably get brand new wii for about 100USD and it's guaranteed not to be a scam, most people but electronis because they come from trusted sellers who sell them so cheap because they are unneccesary perks from business, competions, etc.

I personally bought a Wii during June and I felt that the price is much lower now. The thing about Wii is the accessories such as the cables, the additional controller, joystick etc that you have to buy in order to enjoy playing Wii. First, the Wii console only comes with a Wireless controller, thus you have to buy an additional one in order for you to play it with your family/peers. And since the devices are white (recently they just released black colored ones), thus we have to consider getting protective skins in order for the white to remain WHITE over the years. There is this composite cables which they say would work better for video quality thus additional cost. And then, it would be the games. Some games such as Guitar Heroes for eg, in order to fully enjoy the game play, you have to buy the Guitar. And that's additional cost. Thus I would say that the console is affordable but the accompanying accessories add on to the cost of Wii.

I really don't think it's that expensive. A computer costs tons more, and a tv is about half of that (you know none HDTVs that are the size of a person). I think $200 isn't that bad for a Wii, it's still cheaper then the other two systems and is fun to play.

I also love to buy the Nintendo Wii and I believe they are quite expensive despite of the cutdown price they offer. But the latest discounted I know of is at Walmart around $150. I don't know if its much cheaper somewhere else.

I believe the Nintendo Wii is STILL overpriced. This game console came out over three (3) years ago. The price has only dropped $50.00 in that amount of time. The graphics suck compared to the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. I don't feel it's worth the price because the only thing worth buying for it are the EA sports active and the Wii fit (plus) games and you have to buy the $100.00 balance board just to play those.. over $350.00 just to "exercise", because the other games REALLY aren't worth buying. They are extremely lame unless you always have guests over and are trying to keep them entertained.
