Why is one person immediately attracted to another?

This is a puzzle. Sometimes you meet someone and that other person is good-looking and clean and nice and--well--it was nice meeting them. Other times it is like sparks are flying. The attraction is so powerful it is almost visible. Sometimes you can sense it coming the other way, too. Why? The other person was just as nice but left you cold. This one sets you on fire.

I guess it is the law of attraction. I was really attracted to my husband instantly once we actually met and talked to one another. I was attracted to him like I have never been attracted to anyone in my life. Before I met him I had always been really fickle as well, if a guy did one thing I didn't like I was done with him and moving on to the next. But when it came to my husband I could not do this, he not only attracted me but held me in his spell more than any one else ever could have.

From what I understand from the scientific data that I have seen and heard it is a combination of instinct as to who would make a good breeding partner/ parent for children, in the case of women it can be the appearance of someone who is able to provide provide protection as well as care. Then you have the philisofical view of compatible energy and destiny. Personally I think that it is a combination of these factors, the instant physical attraction then the "feeling" of compatible energies.

I agree with you cowboy. I think that the initial attraction has so much to do with pheromones and an instictual desire to reproduce (even though you may not know that you're thinking those things). I think that people so often forget that we are, in fact, animals. Did you know that a woman's taste in men changes depending on where they are in their cycle? When a woman is ovulating she will be more attracted to a more masculine looking man (with more body/facial hair, muscles, etc. which signify more testosterone) than she would when she's not ovulating. I think it's just so fasinating.

There are lot of factors that attracts one person to another. I believe that it depends on person to person. As per me, I get turned on by the face, way of talking and attitude. Though there are myriad factors but there is no hard and fast answer to this fact.
