so i just found a few books that i had gotten at a goodwill about a year ago then lost wile moving a few days ago. i had read the first before but hadnt read it in a long time the second was a wonderfull book that i couldnt put down once i had picked it up but the subject of this story is the third which is The mummy: ramses the damned by Anne rice. now i must say this one has been on par with my other favorite of hers memnoch the devil. but i have reached the second part and to my horror as i turned to page 210 and saw a small piece of torn paper i looked and there i saw beside it page 213! i'm so mad i really like this book but i hate to be missing a page of it as much can happen in one page and i have no money to go out and buy another copy. has this ever happened to you when buying books second hand? and if anyone who reads this happens to have pages 211-212 and 265-266 of the paperback i would really appreciate if you could post it or send it to me in a pm :) thanks for your responses hope your having better luck reading good books than i am!

Sorry for laughing but I feel your pain. That has happened me a few times with pages missing from books and it is always the best parts missing. I buy a lot of second hand books but I never really check they are complete before I buy them.
I always think of that movie Bedazzled with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore where the devil is tearing out the last pages in the books
