A few weeks ago i was driving through town at night and noticed a few cop cars with their lights on. Out of natural curiousity i drove by and noticed that there was a white sheet laying on the curb with no one paying attention to it. My first thought was from seeing on tv when there's an accident and they cover the body with a white sheet. I was hoping that i was wrong, but come to find out i was right. a woman was hit by a car while walking across the road. The woman passed away before the cops even srrived at the scene. I will never forget how sad it was to see how little the people who hit her seemed to care. I yself would either be crying or be in shock and unable to move. Is this what our world is coming to? Where you can take a life, even by accident and just not care?

Why do you say that they didn't care? Maybe they did, but were in shock. Not everyone responds to something like that by crying. Maybe they were under the influence of something, and won't realize what they've done until the sober up.

hi tawshalee oh thats so sad and horrible to think nobody even cared or were in shock. dont we care about each other anymore
at all? I see people get impatient with their parents who have old age problems and snap at them, what is with this? My son never has snapped at me because I use a quad cane and limp a bit and am slower than he is. Should we not care for whom the bell tolls? okay it tolls for thee. Yet maybe the people who hit her were in shock, I hate to think they just did not care, but this seems a thing anymore in our country. do not get involved do not help anyone etc etc etc. I hate that.we are all our brothers keepers and we should remember that cause one day we may need help ourselves and hope to God someone does care.
