I applied for a part time job online two weeks ago and didn't hear anything. I got an email today asking if I was still interested. I replied yes. Later, they called me to come for interview on Tuesday. I'm a little nervous, but hope I get the job. I'm nervous because I've never gotten a job through interviewing. All my interviews ended with me not getting a job. All the jobs I've worked ended with me getting the job because they needed someone ASAP.

Hi Smartie, if you have not had any success gaining a job from an interview before, my advice to you is to do some work on interviews. Maybe do a search on the net to find out about interviews. How you present and prepare for an interview is very important to landing that job. Do research on the company you are applying with and find out about them, how they work and there policies. Go into the interview positive and ask any questions, you may have. This always show that you are really interested in that company. You should be able to find something on the net to help you know how to act and present in the interview. Good luck and i hope you will let us all know here on mylot how the interveiw goes.

I also suck at interviews, it's the nerves I tell you! You should practice being interviewed with one of your friends or family members, or in front of a mirror. Practice going over the criteria of questions they usually ask. Try and look presentable and be friendly, smile lots! And make sure you make yourself look very available, a person that can come in anytime is very attractive to employers. Just remember there people too, and they were probably also nervous at their job interviews. Being prepared though is one of the best ways of doing good at a interview. Just remember they called you because their interested in you, so sell yourself good :)

Don't worry, many people applies to jobs through internet. I've done it many times, sometimes with good results, many times with bad results. When you go to the interview breath deeply, do your best and make them see that you're the person they need

Don't let interviews intimidate you. Just be yourself and be confident. Employers like to see that you know what you're talking about. Also, be enthusiastic about the position and state why you would be good for the job. When you answer questions, use examples from previous experiences you've had sot aht they can see you've had experience with that type of problem or situation.
Before you go, go over your resume and look up some questions that are typically asked at interviews. The more prepared you are, the better you will feel. Best of luck!

Hi!
At least you HAVE an interview! I haven't had that many this year and it's a bit depressing, if I am being honest.
Good luck with it!
A word of advice. I am convinced that I haven't got jobs in the past because I didn't ask enough questions at the end of the interview(s). If you do this I am sure you will have a better chance of being successful, I'm sure.

Hi smartie
Don't be nervous. It means that they have gone thru their apps or resumes and have chosen you to be a possible employee. Just go in with your head held high and give them the attitude that you are the one that they want. Oh yes one more thing. Always smile.
