What do you think about the world ending in 2012?

so when i was about twelve i was watching some show on the discovery channel about the world ending i 2012. I was 12 and thought nothing of it now 18, it seems to be a hot topic since the release of the movie 2012 and as well as a few shows on the history and discovery channel. Y2K was already a scare but for some reason people are really focusing on 2012 .They have scientist on it, people who study a variety o religions, even a lottery to see who the goverment will save??? I figure the end will come whenever it comes but its something thats kind of out of our hands.
