What do you think earn money by adding Google adsense to your website?

There are for sure many ways to make money online,by adding Google adsense to your website may be a good way to earn extra money.But is it is difficult to apply for Google adsense and get approval.It is because sometimes Google wants your site to be at least 6 months old and sometimes they will require you this or that.I have tried to apply fore it once but didn't get their approval.It really discourage me in applying again even though I heard that it is a good way to earn money.Do you know any tips about how to get approval from Google and what is each click worth anyway?Tell me and I will be much appreciated for your help.Thank you.
