Heard she was convicted of murder and was sentenced to 26 yrs in jail. I know their has been a debate on whether the evidence was correct or not and for the sake of America and Italy, I think we should trust the experts in this one. There has been a worldwide debate going on and it's looking like CNN are of course in favor of Knox being innocent, but the evidence is there and she lied for like 6 times and flawed out.
I'm not sure who I should trust, I'd only trust the truth which is 100% evidence. How about you guys, I don't want to start an Italy Vs American debate, I just want to hear the 100% trustful evidence.

I am in Italy and have been listening to this case right from the start.
The media here are not happy and not at all convinced with this sentence. Here when a crime is committed the press let out too many details regarding the investigations and now it appears that the media are suggesting that the judges were influenced by public opinion when reaching their verdict.
In my opinion if neither of these people were found guilty beyond every reasonable doubt then this sentence is wrong, very wrong.

What about the bleached knife ? Was that fake evidence ? Who in the hell would try to do that ?

To summarize it, they actually used a piece of bra which was found six days after the murder and used that in this case sums up how badly the Italian police handled the situation. I mean, six days until they found something that lead to Knox and her BF being in that room where clearly most things points out the Guede was certainly guilty.

From what I have heard there was nor real physical evidence placing her in the room and none indicating she had anything to do with the murder. There was just opinion on her behavior immediately after which could have been as much from being in a state of shock as anything else. Apparently in Italy the presumption is that someone is guilty and they have to prove they are innocent which is different from the case in the U.S. where the presumption is innocent and they have to proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt. The initial press and public opinion seems to have condemned her to being guilty and the trail was just for show.

Yep, I agree. Certainly there is something quite wrong here. I'm awaiting for the results.
I felt strange after the Ivorian Coast guy fled away, wroted to his friends about blah blah and said nothing in court about knox until Knox goes on trial and then he accuses Knox of being there with him.
This is certainly false charges.

I really don't know whether she is guilty or not - its been said there was evidence thats not even been reported here, and then its been said there was no evidence, etc...I tend to think considering the confusion it isn't 'beyond reasonable doubt' and so that sentence probably should not have been passed until it was.
As regards the American and Italian points of view - well, yes, it is typical here to say 'they are wrong and their system is wrong because its a different country'...lol...one thing I have learned from living here! But I think most people would agree if the evidence was clearly there that she should be convicted. It didn't seem like there was enough to give such a sentence to me.
