I agree, windows 7 is great! I tried it, was immediately satisfied because everything works like it should. I haven't had any complications yet, which I have had with several other windows versions. This one is really good and user friendly.

Well i've been using Windows 7 from past 6 months and its been great till now.
Although in beta phase, it created some problems but all the problems were resolved in RC edition. And now i'm using Retail edition and till date i haven't found any problem in it.All the previous errors and bugs of Beta and RC edition are fixed and its working smooth and fine.

I am still using windows vista. I have no problem with it so far. I do not see any need yet to upgrade, most especially that its still new. I know that there will be a lot of applications that will most likely not run or will encounter problems. So maybe I will just wait a while.

To be honest, I'm still using Windows Vista on my laptop (my only working computer at home). Truthfully, I have not seen any reason to upgrade at this moment. I don't mean that of course out of any negative thing towards Windows 7. I just haven't really heard anything about how it is yet.

hello there friend...
i'm currently using windows 7 now and since you have asked about the reviews, i will tell my experience of using it... first of all, let me tell you the whole story... i was using windows XP for 3 years... i know that windows XP was the best OS ever but when windows Vista launched, my heart melted... the AERO effect, the transparent glass theme, the new Vista start button and other things attracted me so much...
so I immediately changed from windows XP to Vista and I thought I'm going to experience the best OS ever... But no... The first time I use Windows Vista, I was totally disappointed... Not because of the new GUI (Graphical User Interface), but with the hardware incompatibility... A lot of my hardware such as Wi-Fi card, sound card even my DVD drive also unrecognized by the system... I was totally confused...
So I use my phone as a modem and update every single incompatible files... It does raise my phone bill to the max though... After updated every single files, I went to my manufacturer's website (Toshiba) for more information... Then I noticed that they too, put all the drivers in there for Windows Vista... Then I read the reviews and I learned that Vista have many unsolved problems even after it's confirmed for RTM (Ready to Manufacture)...
Of course, Vista does give you a "WOW" effect the first time you use it but unless you have a good hardware support, you are not able to enjoy those effects... It will immediately goes into "low-level" theme which gives you a classic look as if you bought Vista Starter... After I updated my drivers, I enjoy my Vista a lot... Now came Windows 7... I was afraid to use it too because of my experience with Vista... Because Windows Vista and 7 just different in small numbers... Nothing dramatically changed like XP to Vista... So with a strong heart, I changed to Windows 7... Hoping that this would be the next most stable OS ever...
After I installed Windows 7, the very first thing I noticed is the hardware incompatibility issue... There were no issues at all! Can you imagine that?? I was totally amazed... All my hardware are correctly installed on my system without single problem... Then I tried out all the new features... It looks great even though there were minor changes... The only problem is the software issue... Some software cannot be installed under Windows 7 because the developer have not properly develop it... It will take some time, I do not blame the developer...
So my friend, if you ask me, Windows XP was the most stable OS ever created by Microsoft... Now came Windows 7 after so many changes and mistakes learned from Vista... I will suggest you to try Windows 7 first... This will allow you to evaluate whether is it much better than XP or Vista... Just see the difference and notice the changes from Vista to 7... In this way, you should be able to see yourself about Windows 7 performance... For me, Windows 7 does a great job... Fast startup, much more improved OS and no hardware incompatibility issues... I hope you can understand my review... Have a nice day...

I have one of my pc on windows 7 and my laptop on vista and to be honest there isn't much difference well none that I can tell so far.
Windows 7 touch screen is a lot smoother than the touch screen capability of vista and windows 7 seems more pleasant to the eye, it also boots up in half the time it takes vista too.
But apart from that I wouldn't bother upgrading as of yet, there is always going to be glitches and bugs in the operating system so if your thinking of upgrading I personally would leave it a few months till the bugs and all the updated have been released.
But nothing amazingly different to vista am afraid.

I am using it from nearly one week.It looks good but still i think it is in development stage. The only problem i faced was that most of the softwares were not working with windows 7.Although there are softwares for windows 7,but they are not in enough quantity, otherwise it is good.
