Empower the Nurse

The Philippine government must begin focusing on improving healthcare here in the Philippines and not just put their heart and soul in improving IT. I find it odd that government hospitals here are the ones that have the worst facilities when it should have been the opposite. To the future president of the Philippines, I beg you to please empower the Filipino nurses. After all, if people get sick, who will be there but those from the medical and allied health professions, and nurses included most of all. Mr or Mrs President, please focus on improving the nursing curriculum, updating government hospital's facilities, providing a law to protect indigent and poor patients, enforce laws that would raise the salary of nurses, penalize hospitals who would not raise the nurse's salaries and improve their facilities and add more people to the wards.
