This is a movie I like the most in the past ten years.It is surely a nightmare to be a slave in the ancient Roman Empire.Worst than that will be a slave who has been sold as a gladiator.That means a perosn must die and still be an entertainer with his own dying process.I don't know why would the ancient people love to watch tragedy like this and still feel excited to see people killing each other.I feel sorry for those who fought to dead with no mercy from all the audiences and sometimes the ruler as well.This is a great movie to show us the dark side of humanity but also a master piece to show us the glory of loyalty and the power of persistence. That is my feeling for this movie and what about yours?

Although I love this movie a lot but I have never shed tears in this movie.But I admire the hero such as Maximus.On the other hand,it really taught me that the price for being a hero is so high and it sometimes cost one's life.I still rememebr the movie Alexander the Great.In the movie,the father of Alexander the great (Philip of Macedonia)once said to his son that hero and beautiful women are always a disaster(I think to certain extend,I agree with that especially through observeationa nd experience.Look at history ,we all know that people whose been claimed as a hero always experience lots of hardship in his life and sometimes cost his family and his own life.When we look at all the beautiful women in history and up to now,it is not surprised to see the beautiful women always experience all kinds of unfortunate experience.Of cousr that doesn't mean all beautiful women will experience things like that but for sure : beauty may not be a blessing all the times.Well,we do have people like that in this world tpo play these kinds of role. And it is never their choice to be one.When they were born to this world,it seems like it is their destiny and they have to act such a role.Although there are many benefit for beinga hero or a beautiful woman,but still it will cost a lot for people like that.Anyway,that's my feeling and it is not a principle anyway.Have a good day.

What I like with that movie is the start of the movie. It is a demonstration of how good the Roman military was, and their political system. They were the first of the ancient times to have a well established government institution like Senate and Republic. The latter part of the movie don't appeal much to me because it's too emotionally driven.

Yes,the Roman were good soldiers and their training and strategy was excellent at that moment.That's why they could conquer so many land in the ancient time.Their political system was great as well.But still all human kingdom will fall after sometimes and the Roman Empire was no exception.I would like to go to Rome for a visit if I have an opportunity like that.If I can visit the place where the gladitor used to fight among themselves ,I think the feeling will be much deeper.Have a good day.

I liked the movie gladiator. It is very interesting movie. The movie is full of emotions.

It was an amazing movie, I have seen it many times. The soundtrack gives me the chills every time I hear it.
I think it depicted very well that period of time when Romans had fun just watching people battle for their lives.
Now, that I saw this topic I think I am going to watch it again.

Gladiator, what an excellent ancient Roman film. Many feelings come to mind when mentioning this movie. However, the strongest feeling for me is the bravery and determination of the slaves. Most knew there fate and knew several people are watching them in this intense struggle for one last chance to be alive. Times have changes a lot through out the years. This is one example of a truly terrifying experience in the history of the ancient Roman Empire.

I enjoyed this movie but I found the politics to be kind of boring but hte fight scenes were interesting.
