How long does it take to fall out of love with someone?

Hi Barbara. I think if two people have been their most real and honest selves with one another and fallen in love, a bit of it always remains, even when most of it, for whatever reason changes into something else. This has been my own experience. It fades a whole lot,but doesn't actually disappear, unless the other person was not at all who we thought they were. Then is was only an illusion we fell in love with. karen

If you were truely in love then you will never fall completely out of love with that person. They will always hold a special place in your heart; but you will find that with time you will think of them less and less. Time, distance and the reason that you ended the relationship will all play factors into how long it takes before you do not think of this person everyday.
