What Are Your Favourite Items Of Clothing And Why?

Hi!
Usually I give "old" clothes to Charity but there are two items of clothing that are precious to me and I refuse to part with them.
The first (and most obvious, I suppose) is my wedding-dress. The main reason for this is that a wedding dress is always fitted to your size, whether you are small, tall, slim or on the large side (like me). It would be hard to find a dress on the high street that would fit as good as a wedding dress, so that's why I like it so much. I felt so good in it and even the memory of wearing it makes me smile :-)
The second item of clothing is a pink Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino T-shirt that my hubby bought me during the week of our wedding in...yes, the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas lol. It has the name of the hotel emblazoned on the front using rhinestones and I just love wearing it. I've already re-dyed it pink because it was looking a bit sad but the rhinestones are still there (apart from one) so it is also extremely well made!
I now have a "thing" about pink! So many different shades!!:-)

Hi Janey,
Like you i have lots of favorite clothes--from t-shirt, pants, skirt, dress and jacket. I love keeping those with sentimental value like it's given during my birthday, wedding anniversary or any special occasion in my life. i also consider who gave that thing to me and where i bought it. there's a lot of reason why i made them my favorite. these things even if they're old i am too attached to them that i really could not give them away like you!

I only give away stuff that doesn't fit me anymore. I don't have loads of clothes, we haven't got the room. I reckon hubby has more clothes than me (especially tops he never wears) but there again he's lived here for 10 years, I've been here 5.

I wouldn't be able to part with any of my hockey jersies, this time of year they are my favorite thing to wear. I'm pretty attached to a shirt with my sons football number on the back of it I don't wear it alot anymore but the sentimental value is obvious.
And when my husband is gone working my favorite thing to wear is one of his very faded denim work shirts that is so old it feels more like soft cotton than denim.

Hi!
I've never worn a hockey jersey (soccer ones occassionally) but I should imagine they are very comfortable to wear. Does the shirt smell of your husband (I don't mean in a sweaty way), it's just that I like sticking my head amongst my hubby's clothes sometimes as they smell of him. Does that make sense? Probably not lol.

anything comfortable is my favorite. like my sports bra, and my sneakers. or my comfy cardigan i wear around the house. my sweat pants and pull on shirts. anything loose and comfy is fine for me. although i like to look nice i hate dressing up as i feel so uncomfortable.

Hi!You sound quite a sporty person, am I right? Sometimes I wish I was more active as I have brought my bike up from my previous location but I've only ridden it once...I was addicted to it at one time.
How come you feel uncomfortable when you dress up? I'm off out on Saturday night (whoopee) and I find that long skirts and a dressy but comfy top are the norm for me. High heels are a must (but only on nights out) and I'm hoping we're not going to loads of places otherwise my feet will ache!

Well, I'm not really into the fashion thing so I guess I stick to wearing jeans and a t shirt, this is my favourite style! I tend to give old clothes away to charity as well! They guys come round in a van every few weeks and they ask you to leave any unneeded items out front in a sack, this is a great idea! I just like the casual look, it feels very comfortable! A wedding dress has a lot of lovely memories attached to it so I guess it's important that you keep that! Here's to dressing up and looking good! Andrew

Hi Andrew!
Yes, I know what you mean about the "casual look." Most people like it because it's comfortable, I reckon.
My hubby ain't got the knack of looking good in anything. Even on our wedding day he looked like a bag o' rags after about half an hour...but he did make an effort, bless 'im!

My favourite items of clothing are my jeans pants ,my blue converse and my blue tshirt.I usually wear all of them together and it just makes me feel really good .I feel as if I am walking on imported air when I am in this combination.I guess by now it is clear that my favourite colour is blue lol

Well, good for you that your favourite colour is blue! It is a lovely colour and...I believe goes with any other colour. That's what my Mum says anyway so it must be right lol.

Well some of my favorite pieces of clothing would have to be my Deftones shirt and my Tool shirt because they are two of my favorite bands that completely changed my outlook on music and I've had a lot of great experiences in both shirts. Some of my other favorite items would be a pair of black Dickie's shorts and a pair of boardshorts that have Jim Morrison's face on them.

You're a rocker then! Good for you! I used to hate what I called "trendy" music when I was younger and I do know what you mean about having a good time in certain tops.

my mom still has my wedding dress but it has turned all yellow. i guess my second favourite piece of clothing is actually a suede coat that i got handed down from an aunt who passed away many years ago. she bought this coat at a very expensive store and oddly enough the coat is always in style. it is a shortish coat with buttons down the front and a tie at the waist. it always makes me look great when i wear it.

Hi!
Wow, that suede coat sounds amazing! I used to have a black suede tassle jacket years ago (when Bon Jovi was all the rage in the 80s) and matching boots.
Those were the days!

I have this pair of jeans that have like a hole in the knee as well as the butt! It's a little weird, but they are so comfortable! My mom tried to throw them away for a while, but then she finally gave up when she saw that I was willing to go to the dumpster and pick it out! Oh, and this just plain navy blue tee shirt that I have is amazingly great. It's so soft on my skin! I don't know what I would do without those things!

Hi!
I think jeans look and feel better the older they become. These days though, I cannot buy jeans without elastane in them, they'd be just too uncomfortable!

Hi!
That sounds lovely. My husband is into wearing "layers" of clothing...even in the summer. It has to be red hot for him to show off his arms!

In the winter I have a couple pairs of sweat pants and sweat shirts that I wear everyday. I have 4 kids so I wash clothes everyday. In the summer its my 2 pairs of Tinkerbell short and my tank tops. Nice and comfortable. Lucky for me I rarely leave the house, especially in the winter.

Hi!
It's never warm enough here to wear shorts..although I do possess a pair of three-quarter length jeans that are sooo comfy it's untrue!
Thanks for sharing!
