Need some suggestions!

I've already been on a weight loss plan for almost 2 months, and it's going very well. I've lost over 30 lbs, and am down 2 (almost 3) dress sizes. I'm drinking nothing but water, and have recently joined the gym so I'm able to do an hour of cardio exercizing each day.
But here's where I need some help. My husband's company Christmas party is this Saturday. I had nothing to wear! So I went shopping today and bought this adorable top and a pair of black slacks to go with it. Problem is, there was only 1 size top. It fits, it's just so snug that it shows off all of the "poofy" areas in my midsection.
So I'm going to try to work extra hard this week to shed more weight and slim down so I look a little nicer in that top. I'm not expecting any miracles (though you can't blame me for hoping for them, lol).
Do you have any tips on how to slim down in just a few short days? Have you ever had to slim down for an event with just a few days to do it?

That thought did cross my mind. I don't currently own any sort of undergarment that would slim my midsection, and unfortunately I probably can't afford to buy one before Saturday, what with the holiday fast approaching, plus I still need to buy a pair of shoes to go with the ensemble!
But thanks anyways for the suggestion!

I think I know that movie you're talking about... or I've seen a movie with a similar scene!
I doubt I'll go that route, this is very thin fabric, I don't want anyone realizing I've duct taped my fat, LOL!
No matter what I do the poofiness will still be there, I'm just hoping I can work a bit of it off before then so I look a little better.
Thanks for your ideas.

what you are doing is NOT healthy at all dear. So much cardio will lead to loose saggy skin and little or no tone muscle. You need to lift weights and eat more proteins to feed those muscles. Doing cardio only will make you... well i would not like to use this word... Saggy. If you need tips for toning up loosing weight the healthy way pm me. I work with a nutritionist and Im a gym freak so... I know about the subject. Ohhh and loosing weight in a week so fast... its a big no no.

I did not say that I do not lift weights or eat a proper, balanced diet. I have plenty of knowledge on how to lose weight, long term, in a healthy fashion, and plan to stick with my goals and current weight loss plan... after this weekend is over. Until then I'm kicking it into overdrive so that I can look my best Saturday.

Well, excuse the misunderstanding, but since you said you only drink water... As if orange juice was prohibited... And you did´t mention anything about cardio. If you know how well to do it then don´t ask dear. I´m sure you already look your best.

hey good for you! losing a lot of weight in a week is not really that healthy for you (at least not what i have heard). what about wearing a jacket over it? i often do that to cover the poofy what about hitting a thrift store? you can often find nice stuff for next to nothing? good luck!

I cannot wear a jacket with this top. I want to slim down a bit. I'm not talking about a lot of weight, I just need to look slimmer by Saturday. Doesn't really matter how much slimmer, every little bit will help and make it look better. But I will do whatever it takes to look nice Saturday night!

try cutting out any bread for the next few days. Also, (depending on budget) you might want to invest in a pair of SPANX. My sister bought me a pair last Christmas. They work wonders and flatten the tummy nicely. Good luck, sounds like you are really making head way!

Hey kats! That is a really tall order! I would just say to
kind of really cut down this week on everything! If you really
are determined to look the best in this top you will have to
eat alot less, exercise alot more and drink plenty of water
(but not too much because that can be dangerous too!) I'm sure
you will look lovely no matter what! So don't try to push yourself
too hard now! If you are really bothered by the way you look
in this particular top, why not return it and find something
else that you would be more comfortable in?

I'm not bothered by it at all! I love the top and the way I look in it... I just want to look better! I'm definitly watching what I eat a little closer, and plan to bust it a bit more at the gym starting tomorrow. Hopefully it will help a bit.

It is great that you have lost over 30 lbs already. My suggestion if you really want to narrow down the poofy areas the only other way to have it not seen is to wear like a corset-like thing you wear inside. Not that I do not trust that you can lose some more or to slim down. The objective is to have that poofy part gone and so I thought of having you wear this material that women wear inside to have that mid section go down smoothly without people noticing.

I cannot wear anything under the top because the fabric is too thin. I'm looking more for some fast dieting tips, in addition to what I'm already doing.

No ideas of how to lose a bit more weight. But just relax and enjoy yourself - your husband must be so proud of you looking the way that you do now. Have fun!!!!!

Hi, it is good to go on a diet or try to loose weight but overdoing it is not good enough for you, for you to loose more weight in a short time is not adviceable. To loose weight, you have to cut your food intake and train harder. in doing this, you it can affect your well being. If you follow the rate at which you have being loosing weight, you can tell how much you can loose before saturday. However don't push yourself rather if you can, buy another It is better to be healty for your party than worn out.

Congratulations on your great weight loss. As far as the top goes, I don't think that it is safe to try to slim down rapidly so that it will look better on your. The only two things that I can think of are to get a longline bra that will hold you all in or to just wear it as it is and be happy that the poofy areas that you have aren't as big as they once were. I honestly wish sometimes that there was a miracle to take care of the problem areas that we have, but I've also learned that there isn't it just takes time and determination.

Try a diet with steam vegetables, fish and fruits juices? You may want to consider wearing those magic wear which will help you to shape up your figure? I am not sure what's the term for that magic wear but I think you can get it at those departmental stores that sells undergarments. It's kind of a stretchable piece where you will instantly (or so it claims) to make your figure nicer. However, I do hear stories that you might felt breathless wearing it thus you have to make sure you don't get a size too small for you.

Dear,I think it's not a healthy habit at all..A healthy diet is not restricying what you eat.

if you feel that you have consumed more calories than you should have during the week, it happens you know, and then make sure that you work off those extra calories by the end of the week.
