I finally took the plunge and got a cell phone.

One day last week my son was sitting in his college sociology class and the teacher said something about cell phones. Something like: Most of you probably have cell phones and probably many of your parents do. My son was sitting there thinking: Not my mom. Meanwhile I was at the store doing some Christmas shopping and guess what I was buying. A cell phone, for myself! When I told my son he pretty near fell down in shock. Anyway, my stepson, his friend and my kids are teaching me all about texting and messaging. So now I am officially once again part of the twenty first century. I have high speed internet, satellite tv and a cell phone. I am having trouble keeping up, and it used to be so easy. My friends were the ones coming to ME for help with their computers. This is slowly dying out as their practice. I guess it means I really am getting old.

This is true. There are very few people who don't have cell phones now a days. They are just about everywhere. Even my partner who is technolgy illerate has a cell phone with some features. I'm paying the bill though because i decided it would be cheeper for me to pay one bill seeing as how its the both of us. Save him some extra money in the long run too.

Join the club. I am going be 62 in January, and I have had cellphones for awhile, and I wouldn't be without mine. I even take it with me on my walks, and I am glad that I do, as my daughter will sometime call me, so I can talk to her on m walk. I don't have a land line so the cellphone is the only phone I use, so it is so important that I have it with me at all times. Now, there are times when I am charging it up, that I have to leave it at home, but most of the time I do take it with me. My son really insists on me having it, as he sometimes he needs to contact me, and when he can't he gets worried, as kids do, so now, I try not to forget it when I go out so if he does need to contact me he can. I am glad to hear that you finally got a cellphone though, and you will find that you won't be able to live without it once you start using it. I have a touchscreen phone and it is a nice phone, but I am limited on the internet, but I dont' use that all that much anyway. Take care, and happy mylotting.
