More and more are we relying on the the use of technology to get everything done that we need, but what happens when you get a power outage of towers stop working or all electrical current ceases to be there, what ever happened to doing manual labor, everyone also relies on the use of the cell phone to do most things also they are starting to turn into mini supercomputers almost and i think thats rediculous. what do you think?

You are right at your point, But you should be happy that our thinking power is so advanced. That is why are able to advance the technology and it is our thinking which makes us different from any other animal on the earth....
So be happy with the advancement of the technology.........

advancment of technology doesn't mean that you should build your home on the ashes of others. every animal inthis world has it own technology take any example such as dogs which has so much smelling sense that they can smell anything which humans can't do at all, sharks uses sonar to find their way in deep water.Everyone posses unique qualities , but it is upto the thing that how it is used, nuclear technology is boon for india but what are its after effects, nuclear waste, nuclear radiation, we build technology to killed others.

Yeah, I think we are.
While the computer for work and the car for driving long distances is nice to have we are just getting far too lazy.
An eletronic cutter to cut our carrots, driving to the store which is a block away instead of driving, a treadmill-like object to WALK YOUR DOG are all very ridiculous.
Technology is a nice pleasure but no one should go so over-board.
All of these couch potato fatsos are going to have a hard time coping if soemthing ever happens and we lose all power.

Yes, there is an advancement and information overload on the present generation that is slowly yet surely spewing so much unrest upon us. People would badly want to catch up with changing times, and yet there is only so much the human mind can gulp in, so how can we help it? But to turn a little spiritual thinking that we all go to grave not just barehanded, but barebrained too. So why really bother about each and every innovation in each and every corner of the globe. Know your capacities first and engage yourself accordingly - and at the end of the day, spare some quiet moments for oneself and save your Being.

I'm really into the technology craze! I love technology and I love the fact that it's constantly improving and becoming more and more advanced. I think that technology is obviously making life that much easier and convenient and there's nothing wrong with this. Not everyone loves technology though especially when robots have been taking over and putting people out of work in some industries! There's no stopping it now though, things will continue to progress and become more and more advanced and I'm really excited about the future. I want one of those personal human robots once they come out on the market! Andrew

technology is for Humans and not humans for technology, now a days many people use cellphone, which pauses great danger to the envirnoment, the rays that are used for their signals are so much strong that they can kill the small birds instantly, we should learn from what is happening around us, the sparrows has almost disappeared from punjab just because of these high frequency waves or signals. Moreover from the usage of these phones ozone layer is also effected as the batteries used in mobiles are made of nickel cadimum, which is dangerous and responsible for causing holes in the ozone layer. Now a days it has become more of a status symbol than the communication, everybody wants to purchase high price mobiles just for manging prestige. Its not a showpiece that has to kept on table or decorated on wall. You can take many examples such as the use of combines in agriculture sector is somewhat help for the farmers because it saves time and money of farmer, but it poses great danger to our envirnoment, HOw?
when we do harvesting with these combines, these cut only upper part of crop and the stable left behind, every year farmers burn this stable and pollute the whole enviroment, just to save their 1000 rs for/acre they are responsible for spreading many diseases such as viral fever, cough, sore throat, and moreover the smoke which comes out from this stable pauses great danger to asthma patients. every year this happens, but who cares, this is india, and here things usually go this way only, no body bothers about other.

Hi. I am not that techi-oriented person. You're right that our lives have been so dependent on different and latest technologies. Sometimes, it goes to the point that we already don't know what to do during power outs.
Just this weekend, I was asking my sisters to wash a shirt that I'll be needing the next day. Surprised, they told me that they could not do that because there are no electric supply yet and as such, they could not use the washing machine. What's the matter with hand-washing a shirt?

Whatever the technologies that are coming your way, just embrace them or else you will be left behind. Don't worry too much about outages or break down, as long as you know the basics, there's no need to worry too much on them. Anyways, if that will happen, everybody will experience it and we will start to learn again the basic ways unless you can't move and accept those facts are happening whether you like it or not. We may be a slave to technology, but without it, we will also be a slave at whatever we do.
