Being from Houston myself I've seen maybe 3-4 inches at the most around 15-20 years ago. I've seen it much worst on tv but never touched or stepped in a foot of snow.

Heck, the snow you guys in Houston got was nothing more than a spring day herre, lol. I'm in northern New Hampshire, so it's the norm here. I would have to say the worst I remember ws probably 3 years ago, we got almost 3 feet in one storm that lasted for two days, or rather two stroms that combined over top of us, a nor' easter and an Alberta clipper met over the coasts of Maine and New hampshire and punded the livin heck out of us.

I was in Montana a few years ago & there was about 6 ft of snow on the ground when we got there. On another occasion in May we had almost a couple feet fall overnight. I'd gotten a sunburn from swimming in the river the day before & didn't enjoy digging out of the tent that morning at all.

We only got about an inch or two the other day, but it was a good sign lol. Wow, 6 feet is a lot. The most I've ever seen though was at Mt. Hood. There was around 20 feet there. In fact, there were signs next to three story buildings that said "please stay off of roof" because there was so much snow. The skiing was awesome too. Cheers!
