before a child is born why do parents want to know what it is

why do u want to know if its a boy or a girl why dont leave it as a sprise when its born

It's kind of hard to know what kind of items & clothing to get beforehand if you don't know already.

Yea, but than everyone asks " Is it a boy or a girl?". Good diapers aren't unisex either. Boys diapers have more absorption up front.
