A good friend who recently retired asked me if it was really possible to earn some money using the computer ? This was a simple question that drove home a reality check for me as I have always thought of it as a matter of cat that anyone could earn money using the computer and especially with the vast online opportunity now available on the internet. What I realised that although that is what many of us think, the reality is most will not admit that it is long hours and really frustrating at times that it is often disappointing to be earning very little.. if anything at all !! So his question was valid and became my own question .. is there really a simple way to earn a decent online income after you retire ? For beginners it is even more relevant? how do you get started? who do you turn to? does it cost money? how can we tell if it is legal or not ? I was unable to give my friend any "good" advice but suggested he take the plunge to buy a computer and start learning to use it ! Any good advice will be mch appreciated. Thank you.

You need a plan. Theres no point switching the internet on and googling "how do I make money online" etc etc. You need to think what are you good at, what do you have experience in that can be utilised on the internet. Theres varies ways to make money you may want to provide a service through a website, sell goods, buy shares, write articles and so on. Theres no point wasting money if you dont have a clear plan in place.

yes i think you are right there. My friend does NOT have computer net experience so it is a bit slow explaining but I guess its like everything.. Good planning will be the thing to remember. Thanks again for your advice. Appreciate it very much.

I found a few ways that are free and legal to earn money online. But it usually does involve work of some sort. I think it is a lot to expect to get something for nothing. However the type of sites I use, involve me doing a bit of legwork in the beginning and some continual updates and add-ons after but only the initial few months to half a year was I really obsessed about them and it has now produced residual or passive income. So now I earn money from doing nothing.. I rely on others shopping habits to increase my wealth. (it's not much of an increase -but it helps) I continually try to do more so that the earnings will go up instead of remain the same. I say if your friend looks he should be able to find something that interests him and he likes to do.. I am not sure I would try something that was not free- because chances are high that it would be a scam.
