How hard do/can you cry?

I don't cry a lot. I cried so much as a child and then as a teenager that I guess I'm making up for it now. There is nothing wrong with crying, and it irks me sometimes that men or young boys are looked down upon for crying. But anyway, I'm off the topic. When I was around 18 a local TV sports reporter died in a plane crash that also took the life of some Oklahoma State University ball players. I remember one of the female newscasters crying silently as footage was shown of the downed plane. They were coming back from a game, and they were in a small aircraft. Anyway, that night I cried so hard I gave myself a migraine. The local sports guy was one of the nicest guys, and he and his family were heavily involved in community projects. I hate crying that hard. I've done that a couple times in my life - cried so hard it gave me a migraine. How hard do or can you cry? I've heard some people have cried so hard they've thrown up. I'm glad that's never happened to me.

I too, have cried so hard its given me a migraine. I've also had migraines so bad its made me cry. Never thrown up, but the former roommate cried so hard that Briar, who hated it when she cried, turned and hissed at me because I must've been making her cry.

It seems that I havn't cried since I was in highschool. Recently I'm looking for some films that can make me cry, but I havn't found it yet. I remember I can cry by the affecting movies, but now I just can affected by them but not cry, which seems so hard.

I've never actually seen these movies, but I've been told the movies Terms of Endearment and Beaches are tearjerkers. A movie that made me cry is Hope Floats.

I have cried very hard at times too but most of the time I cry in silence. I usually do not cry out loud unless no one is around to hear me. I do cry out loud when I am mad too though.

I don't like to cry around others either. I prefer to be alone in my grief or disappointment. Love your Peanuts avatar.

O! now that's one of my specialties! lol No... but I'm a very emotional person and I cry alot! I haven't cryed to make myself throw up... but i've cryed so hard that my tears went dry... i swear... not that i deednt want to cry anymore, or that i didnt feel so sad... i just cryed so much and so hard it was like there was no more liquid in me to get out... and it's awful... cuz you keep crying, but nothing comes out... so you completely dry up.... But I agree... crying is good! and boys and men shouldnt be afraid to cry... it's very healthy to let it out! It doesnt mean they're girly ot silly or chicken or wimps... it just shows they're human and have feelings too! :)

I don't cry at the news either. I think if we took all the news to heart, we'd never stop bawling.

Oh I have the gift of tears. Can cry over anything at th drop of a hat. I knew my son was going to wife and family yesterday but I still cried so hard when he left us. I know that it was right for him to go to his family but I miss him so much. I cry at sad stories and cry very hard when stopped by police on the road! Definitely have the gift of tears. And it is not genteel crying - I literally bawl!

First of all ,crying is a way to express your strong emotion,so ,in my opinion ,there's no need to find whether cyring is a shame.Secondly, I'm a person who seldom cry, even I myself don't know why ~Maybe someday, whenI reallt feel heartbroken.I WILL CRY, HARD. Anyway, happy today~

I don't remember crying hard, and I can only cry silently now at things I can relate to. I think it's because I don't want to think about sad things too much.

Hi AmbiePam, I cry a lot because I get hurt even for very silly things but I don't cry out loud.I don't like to show my tears to anyone, because I feel that why should any one be sad because of me.Even I don't like answering questions when I am sad or I am crying, that makes me irritated.

I cry a lot, sometimes just a soft cry, little tears and sometimes I'm hysterical. I tend to get hysterical a lot actually, usually when I am alone. I even cry a lot when watching tv. A few times I cried for like 2 hours during/after an episode of my favorite show, typically this happens during season finales, because they tend to be the most dramatic and emotional, so they get to me the most. So yea, I guess I am just someone who cries almost all the time. Sometimes I cry out of nowhere, sometimes I feel like I'm going to cry and it doesn't come but I'll just feel like crying. I definitely don't think that it is a bad thing for anyone to cry. It is good to release those bad emotions, and crying is one of the best ways to do that.

I've cried quite a bit throughout my childhood, as a teenager, and even now as a young adult. I've shed my fair share of tears. It has happened that I've cried to the point of giving myself a migraine. I've cried about various sorts of things. Mainly about personal things, I'll admit, but not just about personal things.

Hi. I can cry at the simplest of things. I cry because of watching TV series or devastating news, reading books, hearing sad stories, and minor personal problems. I could become so maudlin at times. But I don't use to influence others. I've seen some people use their crying "manipulate" others do what they want them to do. I didn't experience passing out or throwing up because of excessive crying. I could cry for a night and feel good in the morning.

With the age growing, i find myself seldom to cry,as you said like the topic,it is hard for me to cry.Even i'm in blue mood. But i also find it is strange, it is easy for me to cry when i saw the misfortune showed on tv ,or on book... when i watch these pictures, footages, the tears flowing down without control.

I cry, whenever I fell like crying. This doesn't mean that I am a weak guy.I cry so that I can free myself off all the uncertainties and sadness that was inside me.And after crying I feel a little better. So its not a bad thing to cry.But be very careful so that your friends don't see you crying because they can take it the other way too. I cry,and it makes me feel good.
