There is currently an iphone craze in singapore. you can call it the second wave, since the first wave happened a while ago when it was first introduced and only one service provider could sell it.
now the second service provider (and third i think) are also allowed to sell it together with their phone subscription packages.
so the island is going crazy again. I heard that the call helplines for those two companies are jam packed and people are being put on hold.
lately, almost every other person i see on the streets is clutching an iphone. even the clerical staff in my office who are not paid highly have one! i am amazed because it carries quite a high monthly subscription even though it is 'free' at point of sale.
what do you think of the iphone craze? did it hit you or your locale?

Nope, not yet
The price of the iphone here is just too expensive for me. I was able to hold one iphone not long ago and I admit I have to tell myself over and over again that I do not need it. So far, I am doing fine. I have a Samsung Omnia and I am pretty happy with it.

Yeah the iphone and the i-everything is incredibly popular right now in my area. Their is a growing popularity towards new electronic gadget whether it be a phone or musical device or some new kind of medical equipment that can help to develop new breakthroughs in study. I hope that we can continue to integrate these new technologies into our lives because they really have a massive amount of potential.

haha =D I was just looking at the article about iphone yesterday, and i did feel a little fluttered to get it.. lol =D
BAsed on the 3 service providers now, iphones are getting so much, together with the bundle deals, and thus it's really tempting.. haha =D IMagine being able to get it for $138, with monthly subscription of $56?? WHy not?? lol =D
BUt that only applies to the most basic iphone 8GB.. hehe ^_^
However, i find the touch screen to be ultrasensitive and so it's out.. I will prefer a blackberry.. haha =D

Bah~~~! Comparing the iPhone with the Blackberry is like comparing an apple and... and... well... a black berry!
There is no comparison! Each is in its own league to be comparable.
And honestly, touch screen for touch screen, the Blackberry is no way near to the intuitive iPhone's GUI!

Here in Trinidad we have all the latest techno stuff and I'm not sure what exactly the Iphone is anyway. I guess its a new type of phone thing with added features. Lots of people in Trinidad have Blackberry's and other stuff but I've not yet gotten into the iphone thing as yet.

Hi there, yes, now all 3 service providers will have iphone up for grab. However, the pricing that I saw doesn't really make me feel tempted to get it. I have been waiting for one of the service providers plan for iphone which will be released tomorrow but the pricing, which I had hope will be lesser than the very first service provider, is just $1/$2 away compared to the other 2 service provider and I was looking forward to the camera feature but I saw that the 3GS version was 3MP only. And then again, my budget ain't there so most likely I am not going to get it. The iPhone craze I believe will start again but maybe not as big as previously since now that most of the people here already got one.

I really wanted an iPhone for Christmas. It seems like everyone has one. I love how delicate and intricate they look. They are so expensive though. It is a flashy item that's why there is a craze going on. I went to the carrier who provides the iPhone in the United States and they wanted a $500.00 deposit just to open a line of service, on top of the $99.00 for the phone. This is outrageous, but the phone can do so much. I think this craze has hit me and my area!

I love the Iphone, and I wanted to have it somehow, unfotunately it costs more than $800 in India, which is quite a very high price for me.So what did I do, I purchased a cheap Iphone look alike named as SciPhone.

Ha ha ha ha ha... well, I got an iPhone about half a hear after Singtel launched it. And I have to admit, after I started using the iPhone, the rest of the touch phones just cannot compare to it!
With the two other telcos having as well, I have more choices to get the newer version. But I still cannot justify such a hefty buy. At least, not until my current contract expires. Which is quite a long way to go.
But I will wait and see if the prices will drop a little later on. Probably after the Chinese new year to see if it is worth getting into another contract for the newer iPhone 3Gs.

Iphone is cool. It has a nice visual effect. It brings the revolutionary to the cellphone market. However, I am not very interested in iphone. As I pay attention to the operating system much more. I like Windows mobile. So I am not crazy for iphone.
I love China

I've been using an iPhone for a year. Mine is 3g white 16GB. The reason that I bought it is because of its user-friendly interface and multimedia function. I find it very useful when you can actually install various applications and games. I had my iPhone jailbroken by myself since I first got it. I know that it's illegal, but without jailbreaking, you cannot use its features like 100%. You can also customize you iPhone whatever you want by changing themes. If you are an advance user, you can actually go into a tiny detail to personalize your phone. I just love this phone so much. Thanks to APPLE!!

I am with Verizon, and since they don't have the iphone, it hasn't hit me, but if they would ever get it, I just might. I have seen them, and they do have lots of apps on them. I do have th ipod touch, so I know that the iphone is just like it, only the iphone can be used to call on, and the ipod touch, can't. I just upgraded in August this year, so I can't get another phone for 2 years, so I will just have to be satisfied with what I have. It is an LG enVTouch, and it is a good phone, but I am limited to what I can do as far as the internet is concerned, as it doesn't have a flash player in it, so I cna't play games on teh internet with it, but then I reall don't need to anyway. it has a touchscreen and a qwerty keyboard. Since I do live in the United States, the iphone is really a craze here, but now that Verizon has come out with the Motorola Droid, and it is supposed to be similar to the iphone. I am not sure I will ever get that one either. I will just have to wait and see. Take care, and ahppy mylotting.
