This is my final semester ...

... and I am having project to do . I am student of M.Sc.(IT) and so I will have to do project related to IT only . I tried to get project some where in company ...but You know guys ...its recession time and getting project in company so hard ... What I should do ...?

I know what you mean. there are very few jobs out there and very little work that companies are paying people to do these days. I hope it all works out for you though. Good luck!

Wow congrats on your achievement .I think though that you should think about doing a project that may help your company automate some process that they now are doing mechanically .In addition I think you should think about doing a project that cost you as little expense as possible but which you may be able to sell and make some money

Im not sure exactly what you mean? IT is computing, right! If you have to do a project for your final semester, does that mean you need to find a job to do the project in? A paid job? Thats not really fair. What kind of project do you want to do?

Well, I have not decided any topic yet ... but what ever I will get related to Java, J2EE ...using MyPHP , My SQL .... I will do ... I am in Chennai ...help ... Thanks ...:)

Does the school that you are going to not help you with placement for these kind of projects? I ask because my brother went to college for Civil Engineering and they had to do two semester long co-ops. The college that he went to assisted the students with placement to get the co-ops completed. If there is a chance that your college would be able to do that, then it would be something that I would probably check into as well.
