While I am making this post....

I've been wandering around today too. I have found quite a few good ones,, but nothing was really jumping out at me and then I hit a link in a tag and found one that I responded to and was totally embarassed when I realized, after I had hit submit, that the discussion was 4 years old! The mistakes of the rookie..sorry sarahruthbeth whereever you are.. I try to look at the one liners as a challenge when I have time.

y an__blue8 I think we all get to that spot occasionally but I can generally browse around through the interests and find something that appeals to me. I am never bored here as I have a lot of mylot friends and i love the back and forth play of discussions. also mylotting gives me something valid to do in my hours of retirement time rather than just sit and watch tv endlessly. this is much more fun.

i feel for you. i sometimes feel that there aren't sensible discussions here but after days of lay-lowing i find another good one or should i say make one... hehe! :) regardless of that, i still think mylot is fun! :)

Well I've always got plenty to do because of my marketing program. But back in the days when I was first starting out and needing cash to fund my other sites, I would go good friends profile pages and look at their previous posts, I'd find some that interested me and type my A** off! tdemex

Yeah, some times me too come across the same situation and in that time,i used to log in to other sites and wait to come interesting topics here,by refreshing the home page once a while. Or start a discussion,if any good topics come to my mind. Good Day friend.

Yes, I have found that a time or two. Usually I think it is due to my mood and the fact that I am too lazy to try to find something that interests me. Sometimes I just "comment stalk" my friends to see whether or not something catches my eye. Other times, I find a user that seems interesting and see whether or not they have started any discussions that I might be able to comment on. If neither of these things works, and I have an idea, then I might just start my own discussion.

No Yan you are not the only one on that one lol this normally happens around the Christmas time as everyone is so busy getting ready for Christmas so you will find it getting quiet in a few Places including here

Friends' profiles are a treasure box filled with discussions and I usually end up there if there are days when there are no new ones being posted. I also go and comment on comments on my own discussions and those by other users. I can't remember the last time I found nothing to do - assuming I ever did!

although it doesn't show on my number of posts, i've been with mylot for more than a year now if i'm not mistaken. during those times, there were a loooot of interesting topics to read! i enjoy reading discussions and responses but too often that i respond neither post. i myself was wandering where were all those good people posting interesting topics have gone.

I used to be like you; thinking that the topics posted aren't interesting at all. But I've come to realize that when I stop starting discussions, I find myself exploring more; old discussions, discussions pertaining to my interest and many more. Normally, I would check out friends started, today's top and also hot and also some of my interests section. In that way, I answer variety and I won't feel bored easily at all. After that, I would look for any random topics like whichever catches my eyes. It feels like hunting for discussions and it can be fun. If you feel a bit burned out, I advice you to log out, surf other sites and when you are ready, come back to mylot and you will feel the surge of discussions enthusiasm once more. Your not alone experience that, yan_blue. Because me too I experience that and some other members complaining about the one words comments or response because it seems they cut the topics without any comments to it... If not seen any topic on the first I browse all the categories to select which one interest me more. But most of the time I comment to all discussion that is email to me by mylot... I'd have to agree with you on this one, it is really hard to find a good discussion to respond to especially when there is those discussion that people start that are one liner. I hate those and I just pass over them sometimes unless it looks really interesting and I have something good to say about it. Normally if I can't find anything to respond to I just go to my other money making websites or just do some internet searches or find something else to do with mylot. Although, it may too because you are becoming bored with mylot, I think I am too.

Hi Yan, Don't worry you are not alone. i do experience that too. but i never stop searching. from no response to new user, to my interest, to hot discussions and new ones. Then if i still can't find one, i will go to my mylot friends list and check at random for possible old discussions/posts. there i can find some and start the ball rolling. then i go back to my page and finally see some interesting topics again and happy to respond again. i don't want to miss a day without any input here in mylot. this is part of my daily life and i make sure that i have some for the day!

When I started out here in myLot, I used to go to the new discussions so I can pick which ones I'd reply. Soon I found that most of them are one line questions that could be answered by yes or no. Now, I just go to the discussions my myLot friends started. At least there is always something interesting there. That's why also I try to get a lot of interesting friends. Others... budlay ah!

Hi yan! It all depends upon the areas of your interests. If you have wider areas of interests and you have good number of friends, there is no dearth of interesting discussions here on mylot. One needs to search for discussion of his choice from the different captions, available here. Whenever, I am in a mood to respond, I find discussions of my choice, without any problem. Nothing is good or bad, however, thinking make it so, I would say. It happen many times to me. I would just logout and that's it. I have come to realise that most of the time, it is not that there are no topics of interest. It is our mood at that point of time. If we are not in the mood, no topics may catch our interest. Try it, go through the same discussions again (from the mylot digset) the next day and perhaps you can experience the difference.

You could start your own discussion in myLot when you've found that therer's no topic which could attact you. Am I right? Enjoy myLot;)

I’ve had days like that. I am not sure whether it is my mood sometimes, the fact there are no interesting discussions or both! On days like that I do the best I can and take a break if I need to. I usually come back and all is well again. Have you tried looking back at old discussions? A while ago when MyLot had a hitch and no new stuff could be posted for a day or two I went exploring into the depths of old discussions and came up with some interesting topics and made new friends!

In the future why not visit the new user page and help out a new myLotter by responding to their discussion?

Hi there, I just joined lately and well, you are actually right about having little discussion that interest you. Because one day I can be very busy responding but another day I will be trying hard just to find one interesting topic to respond to. Thus, when I can't find anything much to respond to, I just went around other websites and relax myself for my next discussion. I mean surely you would be drained of energy if you keep responding to the discussions every now and then. Thus, relax and get ready for the next interesting discussion. Cheers
