How much time you spend on introspection?

How much time do you devote to yourself for introspection in a day? Do you analyse your actions- and how it affects you? Are you pleased or unhappy? When analysing are you honest and admit your mistakes or you prefer to gloss over it? There are times when we are depressed and lacking in self-confidence. Speaking for myself, I know my limitations and am willing to learn from my mistakes. I believe in self-improvement. What about you?

One of the first things that true introspection does is to create a position of neutrality away from wrong concepts and conclusions about my self and others. I devote 30 minutes for looking into myself and analyzing the right and wrong I did. This state helps me to find answers to all the questions that I may have.

I spend too much time being introspective. I am always thinking and analyzing. Sometimes it is because that is what I need to do and sometimes I think I spend that time avoiding real life. There is a certain amount of benefit that comes from thinking about your life and interactions. There is also time management to consider. If you spend so much time thinking that you don't really live your life then it is becoming a hindrance in your life.

I like to write about my thoughts and my feelings in my diary. Sometimes I am not sure what I am feeling and why I react the way that I do, but it is often a help to write about it, and writing helps me understand myself better. I like to spend some time on introspection every day, especially if it has been a busy day. If I have been surrounded by people all day I like to spend some time by myself in the evening. When I am alone, I write in my diary and I think about the things that happened during the day.

I am far too focussed on my own mistakes. I am far too introspected. I think it's important to be aware of one's shortcomings, but it's also important to get a grip on reality - very few other people are as self-critical. Besides, there's a lot that I'm good for (I tell myself! ). I'm getting better at just living in the moment more often. It's much more fun.

Before I go to bed at night, I think of the day that was. What have I done, how did I react to a certain situation. I know if I did something not good, esp. if I hurt anybody. I feel bad, ask forgiveness for myself, and make a resolve not to do it again. By doing this, I notice that I am changing and improving by not committing that same mistake again. At other times, another mistake comes up and I do the same. I always pray so that I will have the grace to change because I am aware that on my own efforts alone, it is difficult to change myself.

I don't know how much time, probably some time like 5 minutes to 30 minutes, not that much, because I am unconsciously thinking these analyzing thoughts which will get me thinking but I don't actually devote my time to introspection all day, it would be too much..
