With opening pair of Gambhir and Sehwag.. one just got the best cricketer of the year award, being the leading run getter of the year and other one obviously the most explosive batsman test cricket ever seen, with that consistent as well(has taken less innings than Tendulk to reach 6000 runs). Followed by Dravid, probably one of the best batsman test cricket ever had, and for sure the best ever one down position. Sachin at no.4 four followed by Laxman, Yuvraj and Dhoni. Is this the best batting line up ever in test cricket history? For me it is the best at least from all those i have seen playing..

I agree with you that this is one of the good batting lineup in the test history but it must not be forgotten that there are teams with better batting line up in the test history. The windies batting line up in the early 80's is an apt example for that. The south african batting line up pre 1967 is considered to be one of the best line ups. But when comes to the recent present, yes India has the best batting line up right now and hope it continues for many more seasons to come. Thanks for starting the discussion and have a great day. Happy Myloting. Cheers:-)
