Do you tend to do more SUMMER or WINTER clothes shopping?

I'm truly curious because I started consigning this year at my local consignment shop, usually just brand name stuff we had around the house or my old clothes - and I made about $400 over the course of a few months for my "winter" wardrobe. I submitted a bunch of summer clothes, too, but I'm nervous that they won't sell as well, because in my opinion, it makes more sense to buy more for the WINTER than for the summer, just because of the drastic climate change. Am I wrong? What do you tend to do more: shop for winter or summer clothes? And why do you think that is? Do you think my summer clothes fund is going to be like $0?

From a guy's point of view, I don't think we ever buy enough summer clothes. Shorts and tees, and we're on our way. The older the shirt, I think the better! Heck! If I can just wear tees and shorts to the office, I would (Of course not now when there are chances of snow outside). But for girls, I don't think it really matters. Summer or winter, I still have to meet a girl that doesn't shop all year round!

I buy more summer clothes, partly because I live in a country where the summer is longer than the winter, so it makes sense that way, and partly because I just prefer summer clothes. They are prettier and more feminine than bulky winter stuff usually, so I like them more. And because of that, I also prefer to buy them of course!

Buying clothes depending upon the up comeing fastival and climate first Christmas is coming and i am going to buy clothes for me. which is quite natural for us to enjoy for this festival to get good dress. and 2nd climate your more fund toward winter clothes means summer season is small or summer is not hot than our country like Dubai, 8 months summer, my 90% fund is going in summer purchase.

i actually prefer winter clothes because i like coats and boots and pants and such so i probably shop more for winter clothes than for summer. if i were thinner i might be more interested in buying more summer clothes but i am working on that so maybe this summer.

I think I probably buy more summer clothes because they're cheaper. I can go out and buy like 4 tanks for $20 but with winter clothes that only buys about half of a sweater! Summer clothes shopping just seems more satisfying because you get so many more items for the amount of money you spend.

I love clothes in both seasons.for spring-summer,I love the current trends of floral and denim.for fall-winter,I love boots and jackets with fake fur.it will really depend on the time you sold the clothes.a dress appropriate for summer or spring will not sell during cold season.thick jackets aren't really suitable for spring and summer time.

i think summer clothes wear out faster just because people sweat more so they wash clothes more so they just dont last as long, but thats just my opinion. i am not sure what everyone else things about summer clothes.

Though I use more layers in winter, they are more sombre, jumpers, jackets, various knit tops and predominantly trousers. I have more clothes, at least in quantity for summer, between various types of shirts and tops, shorts, skirts and trousers, summer dresses. The thing is winter clothes tend to be more expensive then summer clothes things like long winter coats and jumpers. I have never used a consignment shop so can't give you advice on that, hopefully you do just as well with your summer clothes. Good luck.

i would prefer funding for winter clothes which can also be used in rainy season coz in these seasons we are prone to more disesses and it would be better if we can wear warmth clothes which would help our body to resist.coming to the summer clothes we can use the t-shirts and a pair of jeans which doesnt cost more when compared to denim jackets and blazzers which are mostly used in winters.gud day.

I definitely buy more clothes in winter than in summer - like you say, it's all about the climate change! Although, in Liverpool, it's not really that hot in summer, and not really that cold in winter... It just rains a lot. (But not as much as in Manchester!) That - and I prefer winter clothes. They look better on me (I'm probably too skinny for summer clothes to look fabulous), they feel better, they are made of nicer material, they are (usually) better colours... I could buy a hundred coats, hats, jumpers, scarves... But, funnily enough, three-quarter length shorts just leave me cold!
