This is a simple way to keep diabetes under control. Take half a teaspoon of CINNAMON powder twice daily (morning and evening) with water. In the long run you may able to stop taking allopathy medicines but every month sugar level should be checked. If the level goes below normal, then dosage of cionnamon powder should be reduced.

That is something new to me. I did not know that Cinnamon can lower down blood sugar. I thought cinnamon was sweet and should be avoided by diabetics. I heard that small amounts of these would help the diabetics since they do not contain sugar but taking this as a way to control diabetes is something that I first heard of.

dont do it , its been proven it does not control diabetes it merely helps.you will need the medications you are on so do not swallow all this stuff verbatim. go to American Diabetes Association and see what they say.

hi cupid sorry but the American Diabetes Association says now that a little cinnamom is okay but do not stop your medications and heed your doctor and diabetes educator.its been proven that while cinnamon helps lower it a bit it is not the cureall everyone was led to believe. In fact in some cases people find they get sick from taking it, so do not just stop your medications as it is not good enough to take the place of the
medications your doctor has put you on.,For one thing its never really been proven just how much is enough and not too much.
'I would stick to metformin and glyburide if it were me. I am a diabetic of many years and I go by what the medical staff of the American Diabetic Association says. so do not stop your medications as cinnamon is just a helper it does not cure your diabetes as so many claim at all.

You are correct, Hatley. Other so called organic supplements should never be replace regular and doctor-prescribed medication for diabetes.
It may ease up a little on a diabetic's sugar level. But that's all.
There's no proof yet that diabetes can be cured. It's for life and the only way to deal with it is to manage it and avoid complications.

That's wonderful. Battling a degenerative disease like diabetes is not easy. What, with the expensive medication for management, most of which should be taken for the rest of one's lifetime.
There's also an information overload on how to "beat diabetes on its tracks" coming from experts of every kind and gurus of every color.
In my case - I have type 2 diabetes since 2007 - it's understanding my body, measuring and maintaining my energy level, taking regular medication, exercising, dieting and going for a regular checkup.
But of course, I also try other things.
I'll probably try cinnamon. Thanks.
