I am currently in a job I dont like but feel I cant leave because of the pay, I could not afford to lose the extra money this job brings in. If you can afford it I would suggest stay happy with what you got. It stinks to be stuck.

you dont need to justify it to anyone but yourself, I think happiness is more important than money, I know I should take my own advice, but with kids and all I need to look out for them first their happiness before mine. I figure in about 3 yrs I will be able to change to what I like..

If you are bold with good experience then you can get both job satisfaction and higher salary. I am working in an IT company where I am very happy with the job and work but I am not satisfied with the salary which I get over here. But I think that this would change in few months as now I have a good experience in my hand.

I think a combination of both is essential to a long service with your employer. Surely having the best job on planet earth that pays peanuts, isn't going to pay the bills. But the best job is to be able to live comfortably on an online income and have no one to report to. That is my goal for 2007.

Im greedy :) I prefer to have both to balance my life. You can live without money but money can live without you. Especially living in a metropolitan where life is so much demanding. Basically you have to pay for services provided i.e. expressways, toilet, public transport and parking. The petrol price is rocketing high and I do not foresee any move that the G will revise and reduce the petrol price. Yes Im a slave to 9-5 job, but this is what I afford to do at the moment. It helps to pay bills.
