hi everyone. honestly i seldom use atlas. yesterday i watched atlas to find out cebu, phillipines where one of my mylotter friends lives. this is not the first time that i tend to see atlas, whereas from the joing to mylot i have tried to find out the proper localitites of my mylot friends(if they have mentioned properly). so do u use atlas mainly after joing to mylot to watch where your friend lives? say, i am from guwahati, india. have u ever tried to find out my city(in which part of india i live) through atlas? its an example. there are too many friends of u like me. so i just want know your views. please share. thanks.

Rarely have I ever had to refer to an atlas. Today with the internet you can easily find information online without the need for one.

I use an atlas sometimes. Even though there are online mapping services to give me directions, they only list the obvious routes. There are so many little county roads here that I could take to get somewhere and avoid traffic that sometimes I take out my atlas and look at alternate routes that the computer can't or won't give me!

hey ATLAS..the term is so nostalgic and makes me to go back to my childhood days.Truly with the advent of internet the use of atlas has been minimised ot almost nil,i guess.
I still remember as a kid I used to play a game called Map Pointing with my friends, where I would have to search the name of a place in the given page.I also used to learn the name of the countries and there capitals, strange hobby of mine. But i used to like it.

Hi shibham, I love my atlas and have always had one, often when I'm reading I want to see where a place is or the border crossings. I don't reach it out as often as I should as it is so big and heavy so it does come out when my son and I are looking for something he's been interested in. I even got him some fantastic jigsaws of each continent as he loves to know where everything is too. I would hate to not know where somewhere was so have always been pretty savvy on geography and its good to see an inheritated trait in my son.
So have you looked up the Southern Mainland of Greece? I'm on the middle finger.

since knowing and knowing how to use the Global Positioning System (GPS), I no longer need an atlas to find the address or search for a region

Hi Shibam,
I seldom use atlas map. i am into checking about my mylot friends place of origin. now if i am not certain about the country then i check it from the internet's world map/atlas. then i will have the idea about their country. if i have more time check on the country and read more about the country.
