What are your thoughts on the death penalty?

If it was my son or daughter who was killed by a pathological killer, would I want the killer to be behind bars while I pay the taxes for him to be there? What if he managed to escape and went on another killing rampage? I don't think it should be used except for the extreme crime though and not used often.

Why a man should kill another man. May be the punished person must have committed most heinous crime. The best punishment would be rigorous imprisonment for life.

No, it ain't right. If killing is wrong, it's ALWAYS wrong. We can't do something wrong to punish someone who did the same thing. I mean, it makes no sense to me at all.
