Why are you writing? Read first before answering!

Why are you limiting us to only two? In my case, it IS for all the reasons you listed! If I MUST choose only two, I'd have to arbitrarily choose, as none are more important than any other! You may as well close your eyes & choose two for me, since you'd have a correct answer no matter what you picked! Maggiepie "LEGALIZE THE CONSTITUTION!"

I am here first and foremost to earn. I found this site two years ago and was amazed that we could earn here. I haven't earned as much as I would like, but have fun nonetheless, and I suppose also I do enjoy writing, even if my style is not as good or great as others. I find that I do my best writing at night.

It is an easy question for me to answer; I write because it truly is my passion and I have had the heart of a writer, as you put it, since childhood. Money comes into it sure but as we all know MyLot will not earn us a living that’s for sure and I can assure you I would be here regardless of payment but isn’t it nice to do something you love, have fun and earn a few pennies? So the answer is number one and number four.

That is what this site is about, start discussions and respond to it. However among your reasons I would select- are you writing for money? Apart from that there is fun involved.

I write to earn money here on mylot. I write to give my opinion on the discussion that interest me. Writing here is alot easier for me to put what I am thinking than if I would try writing a book or a long article for a magazine or newspaper.

Hi RJ, These are the following reasons why i write articles here in mylot: 1. i find the topic worth responding 2. i know in my heart that i have something to share that in a way will inspire people 3. i want to share related personal experiences and learnings 4. i want to share my views about something 5. it's a stress management for me. i feel good after writing an article. 6. i want to appreciate people and their works too.

I didn't know that I can write and draw people to read what I wrote. Only when I joined mylot that I found out I actually can string words together and mesmerized others with my unborn writing skill. My stay here has polished up my writing and slowly I become addicted to this place while enjoying the comraderie that added to my staying power in mylot. I enjoyed the support of friends in mylot and I have more friends here than I have in the real world. Plus getting paid for writing that I enjoy now has added to the reason for writing and posting regularly.

Hello there rjvb. For me, I write because it pleases me and makes me happy. Other than that, there's nothing else. Earnings is totally secondary, because I know I wouldn't do it at all if I don't have any passion for it. So, be it in mylot or in other writing sites, I will always have a passion for writing like you too. It's cool to be able to express our deep thoughts in our writings.

I am here first for "writing is my life and I have a passion for writing", and secondly for money" However, I also love to voice my opinion..LOL

hi rjvb,I am here to make money and to know about good money making sites----this would have been my answer in the first month(october) and my answer would be(i am 3 months old now) would be i love sharing my thoughts and learn from people who have great knowledge in all streams of life (though money stream is more important for all of us)in here.i can easily pass on the time happily while responding thats why i enjoy writing here and it has helped me to try my luck to make some money while writing articles though.gud day.

i join my lot for improve my English language, share my ideas, suggust other/try to help them through words, learn more,discuss,manplat new ideas etc in short for creativity . Money or ranking dosent matters for me. Good Day.

why am i writing discussions?it is so simple that is for get happiness and develop my writing skills.not for money ,for fame,,,like that!!!

Hi. The two most important reasons why I write articles here on myLot are as follows: 1. First, to improve NOT only my "writing" skills but my "way of thinking" and "confidence in sharing ideas" as well. Here, I learn so much from my mistakes and notice some improvements on my writings. Little by little, I am also "building my confidence" to openly share my ideas to others. I now have the confidence to respectfully share my ideas even if that would mean contradicting the ideas of the discussion author or other respondents. Most importantly, I noticed that I'm learning how to "think critically" by being more spontaneous in generating ideas. When I was new here, I think...think...and think before I could write anything. Lately, I observed that I could now think and write almost at the same time. It seems that ideas now flow freely and generously. 2. Secondly, to nurture my passion for writing. I used to write for our school gazette when I was still in high school. I stopped writing when I entered college. And I have never written any, except for technical business documents, when I started working. Now, I am trying to revive my passion for writing. I am starting to work towards the accomplishment of one of my greatest dreams - that is to write one or more books in the future. That would be my legacy for my family.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is the reason why I came to write in MyLot.But being writing here for some days I realize something.I realize that I really like writing and it feels really good to express whats inside me.Now its not only because of the money I write now,I write because I love to write.

That is a nice avatar. I am mostly "warming up" when I write something here. It is sort of relaxing and gets me in the mood to write articles for other PTW sites or to post something on my blog. It is like when runners do stretches before running. The other reason is that I come here to read and learn what is going on, but would not want to just be a "lurker."

I write here because I love writing and i love the feedback. I love writing. I do write for helium and that is all good in it's own way as you do get rated but here there is interaction and I really like that. I would never write hoping to get rich because that is like playing the lottery...doesn't often happen. Fame? Nope...I write using a fake name so not that. I love writing and when I'm on helium i am developing my skills.

it feels good to write when you want to express something although it also feels good when someone read and made an opinon on what you wrote. for some it may be passion, to earn, hobby, improvement, or anything else. but for me, i write just to share my thoughts on things that interest me. i would love to become a writer but have no time in doing so. happy mylotting. by the way, i count the number of times you used the word WRITING on your post and obviously, you love writing.;-)

rjvb I write because I must write, I write in my journal every day, why because I love to write, it is my passion, and I wish just once to have something published that I write, and I love the fact that I can do something that I love to do ,and actually get paid for doing it. this is the frosting on the cake of writing the actual money we receive for doing something you really have to do. I cannot go a day without writing something, any thing but it has to be written down. by me.

I wanna practice my English and earn some money... And the most important reson is I like traveling very much, so I want to make many friends from different countries, then if I go there, I can find some friends to be with me! I will be very happy!!!lol~
