I consume 5 to 6 glasses of water per day. It may hardly come to 1-1 1/2 litres per day. Actually we have to take 2 to 2 1/2 litres of water per day for good health. I tried to take more but I am not able to. How much water do you consume per day? Are you happy about it?

Oh boy! I drink loads of water a day! I have always said that water is one of my addictions. I drink like 7-10 bottles of 1.5 litters. YES! I am not kidding. I am constantly working out though.

yeah its ok drinking water directly
but you are also taking water into your body indirectly through food all food has some form of water in it, even tea coffee soft drinks.
So you may not be drinking the required amount in glass full's of water but you are getting it thru food aswell.

But doctors say tea, coffee etc. are not taken into account for calculating 2 1/2 litres of water per day. Anyway I think we know ourselves how much water our body needs. May be it will differ from person to person.

Hi. I normally consume 8-12 glasses of water daily. That's my way of keeping myself hydrated and prevent having urinary tract infections.

I usually drink about 1 1/2 litres of water each day. It is difficult for me to drink more because I would spend most of my day at the bathroom instead of working.. But during the weekend it can get to 2 litres. I started to drink flavoured water. Citrus flavor is my favorite.

Oh God, Samson dear, you must have been a fish in your last birth. It sounds as though you are actually living in the water. 16 glasses per day is too much, I never heard so far. But some say too much also is not good. But I am not sure. Have a water day.

I see to it that I drink 10 glasses of water per day. And i'm hoppay about it. It seems to clean out your system. But when your on a long drive its not a good idea to drink lots of water coz you might end up peeing a lot on your drive.

hi,Buchi, you are also taking water below the recommended. You have to improve.
General daily recommendation of 2.7 liters (91 ounces) of total water for women and 3.7 liters (125 ounces) for men. This includes water from all sources (foods and drinks).
Here are some tips to keeping count.
-----------------------------------
1]Wake up to water--literally. Before you eat or drink anything else in the morning, have a glass of water.
2]Drink out of a measured bottle or sports drink container. If you know 1 bottle = 12 ounces, you can figure out how many ounces to drink to meet your body’s daily needs. Know your numbers so you can meet your goal.
3]Track your intake with a loose schedule. Don’t be too rigid, but find a general schedule that works for you (say, 2 glasses in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 2 in the evening). This will help spread out consumption and regulate your water intake.

Have a nice time.

Hi Buchi_bulla,
I try to consume as much water per day as I can, sometimes I don't consume as much as I should for a healthy lifestyle. I would say I usually drink 5 glasses of water per day, I know the normal amount would be 8 glasses if I remember right which too me seems like a lot of water. I try to drink water before each meal or if I feel hungry because I know it's suppose to help you feel more full so you don't over eat or eat because your bored. I wouldn't say I'm too happy with how much water I consume so I'm going to try and change that, I should really be drinking 8 glasses of water per day considering that's what a doctor would tell me I should be consuming.

Yes sahsports4883. Doctors advise us to drink 8 glasses of water or 2.5 litres quantitywise. I am also a bad water consumer. I must strive hard to remember and drink more water. You too drink compulsorily 8 glasses of water friend. It is good for digestion and also for skin.

Hi Buchi,
I do not drink enough water for the day, now the winter is here and we don’t feel thirsty that is also a truth. But I know we should drink enough water even if in winter. Our body requires water and if we could not keep the balance then it may lead to health hazards. Whenever I go through some posts or about the importance of water I may think that I have to follow that then I may forget the same later. So I am not happy with my water drinking habit.

Ladies are prone to urinary infection more epecially when we are working and using public toilets. It is better to drink sufficient quantity of water Sreekala. Please keep a water bottle with you always. Make it a habit to drink at least few sips of water every now and then, when you remember.

I am not always keen on drinking a lot of water but it is something that I make myself do every day because I have noticed the difference in my skin, digestion etc. My goal is to have at least 8 glasses a day and I am usually successful except when I have to go out. I work from home so it is easy enough to do; when I worked as a receptionist I could not afford to leave my desk to go to the bathroom as often as I needed to so the water consumption had to be kept to a minimum!

This is the advantage of working from home. Why to invite health trouble? Instead of taking medicine later on, better we drink enough water now. While telling you, I am telling to my own self as I am also very bad in drinking water but improving now.

I used to drink very less water before but since the past 3 years I started suffering from a skin disease - acne. So I was advised by my dermatologist to drink atleast 1.5 litres water each day. So I keep 2 bottles of 1 litre aside each day and make sure I finish them by the end of the day. Not only did I get rid of my acne, my skin feels much better.

Wow, I could not handle drinking the small amount that you do. I drink maybe 3 to 4 litres a day, maybe more at the moment as it is very hot here! I buy 40 litres of spring water on average every 5 to 7 days for my family of four. I use a glass water bottle which hold 600ml and regularly re-fill it during the day. I also have a large smoothie for breakfast which would have around 600ml of water or more in it!

I was drinking very less water earlier. But after I realised that I have developed a gall stone , I started drinking lots of water as per Doctor's advice. Now a days I drink 0.75 ltrs of water at a time in office and I make sure that I drink atleast 2.5 ltrs of water in a day. I dont feel like drinking water much, but it is high time for me to change.

I hope you are fine now dear. 2.5 litres of water is only recommended by doctors. You are correctly taking it. Take care of your health. If not for us, at least for taking care of the family, it is necessary.
