Books are very precious to me. Knowledge is not only acquired through lessons in class or in life. It can also be gained through reading books. You know, a lot of stuffs are learned in books. Histroy, general knowledge, most of the stuffs you don't learn from the environment, you learn in books.

I find that I learn about new worlds, new cultures, new histories when I read books.
I am transported to attitudes and lives that I would otherwise not have any way of knowing.
I love books because they not only teach me new things, they offer me an escape from my current world.

Oh, I've loved books forever. Whatever kind I read, I get something good. I learn new things, reading takes me so many places I could not go in reality, they comfort me, make me laugh, teach me valuable things about life, wisdom, people, lands.
I love to read!

Hi. I am a voracious reader. In the past three years, I bought more books than clothes. Books are my precious collection.
Based on my experience - books inform, entertain, counsel, and inspire. I was empowered through reading because:
1. I met brilliant authors, saints, great leaders. I learned from their failures as much as their successes.
2. I experienced living in other people's homes, kingdoms, caves, forests, and many others.
3. I traveled different lands, deserts, seas and sky.
4. I practiced several professions such as accountant, lawyer, detective, merchant, etc.
I totally agree with this anonymous quote:
I've traveled the world twice over,
Met the famous; saints and sinners,
Poets and artists, kings and queens,
Old stars and hopeful beginners,
I've been where no-one's been before,
Learned secrets from writers and cooks
All with one library ticket
To the wonderful world of books.
