Well, Gambir played his part in the chase, Ishant sharma did very well with the ball, except that two drop catches. One off his own, and the other off pathan.
Did every player do their part well?Talking about yuvraj, he dropped a catch of jayasuriya, before he went blazing guns. Then he missed a runout chance, with the throw to dhoni well away from the sticks, and the man whom he missed was none other than sangakara, who hit the fastest fifty for sri lankans.
Who is to be blamed?

hi,i want to participate in this discussion.whatever you said that is absolutely correct.i agree with you. but we cannot say problem with only one that is yuvaraj. if he fail what about rest of 10 players. i felt expect shewag, gambir all were failed in their batting side.but in the bowling side ishanth bowled well.his first over is awesome.i really like it.even jayasurya couldn't play that balls.this is my opinion.

The blame goes to OUR-SELVES AND NONE OTHER THAN THAT, and yes off-course the 2020 it self which have killed the game named as TEST-CRICKET.Some European countries used to play the 2020 format; but as soon as the BCCI-MONEY got into the course, that was the day it got deteriorated. The very essence of cricket is been lost forever.
This country is a HUGE!!! and with a huge population just 11+ and other few bcci official should not take all the goodies alone, thousands of people are dying due to hunger, there is no proper education for the poor,no electricity in the remote areas,no proper road infrastructure, inflation is kissing the sky,the sixth pay-commission was that necessary??? while most of us are unemployed in hoards and in masses (myself, you and every one else fall in this category who are facing the challenge every odd day as well as fighting for our survival)Above all of it; our politician are another menace to the nation, these very people are directly and indirectly subjecting all of us in to such a miseries and instead of uplifting the condition for the better, they are just busy oiling their-own bank accounts for the last 60+ years, involve in nepotism and financial irregularities(while dangling or promising all the whole Earth to the general masses ).
None!!! yes none of the politician had ever been judged for their unjustified amassing of wealth, undeclared wealth....by means of genuine way one cannot earn such an amount during their or their forefathers lifetime but they are possessing such an amount and neither all of them are the offspring of any Maharajas or comes from the family of TaTa/Birlas and......So please talk about the soldiers the players who are into other sports who brings medal for our country in the Olympic, and for god's sake don't make it an issue to include the cricket in the Olympic if you are a true to your nation and have good intention to the disciplined of the Olympic,or sports you shouldn't be wasting your precious time behind cricket.(It is maximum by say 30 odd country that or lesser play it and you cannot even compare it with any other sports in terms of hardship, discipline, endurance and so on{maximum time it is been noticed that the final or the semifinal was won by the country who is not fit for it on that particular day but have won the match by-chance,take the case of first t20 world cup---who should have won it/and who actually had won it,one more case of 1992 semifinal game, you yourself must take the pain to find out and then response me back})where there is so much of uncertainty and chance(while less of genuine hardship, discipline, endurance ) then it does not fall under the category of sports just a time waste for the downtrodden masses like us and unjustifiable blessing for the countable few!!! Which category do you feel you are.......
on the other hand have you people ever thought/ponder of the fact that there are lots of clubs those are involved in every sports there is no restriction as such but in cricket the ICL been treated as something sinful please answer these question to yourself whats the rivalry between the bcci sponsored ipl and essel world's icl(if i am not wrong) both are cricket, played by human like us, or is it that when sachin plays and approve by bcci then only it is cricket??? or a special stamp is been tacked behind their dassssh by the almighty these are the few have all the cricket-sense and authority.......does these things smell good with bcci or the cricket as whole.....

dropped catches, poor fielding and surely Yusuf pathan and Asish nehra were responsible for it...they both conceded 110 runs between them..and yusuf pathan was out at duck....he should be kicked out of the team........

Hi!!
According to me the main reason for India's loss today was their over confidence as just a few days back they were named the top test team in the world and you could judge that by the players body language. They didn't bowl well and they were fielding as if since they are number one now the ball will automatically stop by them.Gambhir has been in the form of his life and he did his bit with a superb knock but the other players made a complete mess of the start. We Indians need to learn from the Australians that its easy to achieve the top spot but its even more difficult to maintain it which the Aussies side have done so effectively for the past two decades.I know its wrong to compare the tests ranking with T 20 but I guess it was clearly visible from the players body language that they were too over confident about themselves after winning the test series.

well it was totally the batting, Yuvraj, rania, pathan, and dhoni all make mistakes in playing shorts. but actually, sehwag also just try to pull every ball and from his out the complete match has changed so no other bat well after his departure not even Gambir ;). India has so many big hitter in teams and start of IPL but really it was also the pressure of big score, opener tried only not other batsman so when openers gone then just India start losing although run rate was fine even after 4 or 5 wicket fall.

except gambhir ,ishant and sehwag remaining 8 guys should take responsibility, they formed really bad, especially yuvraj dropped crucial catches, and dhoni made a mistake coming down on first down,i dont know why yousuf pathan is taken,he is in poor form, jadega is better than him, robin utappa is in good form for royal challengers we should have played him in the place of pathan.rohit is playing only in ipl we should found some alternate to him who performed well in ipl.we should give chances to the new guys who performed well in ipl.

i will say Indian bowling and fielding is responsible for today's India failure.
215 is more then enough in T20 games against any team. Srilanka is not a weak team in T20 format.and today India showed that they have improve their all departments i.e. bowling, fielding and batting for this type of format of game.
