mylot getting nasty

unfortunatly when there is a star rating there is also a danger of abuse, some people are well just the type of person that will argue for the sake of it or rate everybody negative for the sake of it. I always say what's on my mind but I also try and be respectful there are some people on here who just because you have a different point of view will become spiteful towards you. Mylot is what it is a discussion site, so discuss, argue and accept that everybody deserves to be treated with respect. Though I think we here on mylot are pretty good at self policing.

Don't be discouraged, doormouse. Just keep on posting discussions as usual, interact with others and just have a fun time. The world outside is already so stressful. Normally what I would do is to just ignore. Bad rumors/gossips/news whatever about us will die soon if we choose to ignore. And I always believe that the bravest one is the one whom controls the temper the most.. Have a happy day lotting..

I do observe and sympathize with you many are bashing the star and just recently I could observe some lost their star in less than 24 hours with their reputation down by either 1, 2, or more than 13 pts in a matter of 2 weeks.Those who never ever start a discussion and just replying to other even have a high reputation and those active their star have been falling rapidly . I am glad many have notice it too...it seem their are lot of haters in this site...I do hope the admin is not blind on this happenings...

All right, I am going to get nasty here. What's your problem? lol Only joking, I couldn't resist saying something like that. I couldn't agree with more. This place is suppose to be a fun loving place to come. I do just to get away from the real world for a while. If I don't like what is said, I just ignore it. There is nothing worse than people getting upset over something that was said on here. Really there is no real reason for it. We all have different opinions about stuff and we need to accept all opinions even though we may not agree with it. So lets all make mylot a happy place to come and enjoy. Come on, get nasty with me. I'll take you on. This is fun. I am laughing so much here because I am only joking.

Well, we really can't control how other people behave. So, the least we can do on our own is to try and observe the guidelines of this site, and promote a fun atmosphere, just as you desire. Eventually, the admin will take notice of this behavior and have those violators banned off the site for good.

Not being nasty is simple. Just don't say or do anything to fight or be mean to anyone. Nastiness is because someone writes or says something mean to another person. I don't know how the providers can avoid or keep this out of a site and it might not be possible due to the rights of free speech. People have to be allowed to express opinions and its up to them to be polite and nice to others.

Yes, Mylot is a place where we are supposed to have fun by sharing our thoughts and discussing our concerns with others. I hate it when people create problems here. I had a problem with a friend here who took my response too personal. He was a good Mylot friend of mine, but at some point, he started to write mean responses to all my discussions. That is sad. It is better to avoid those problems and take any response with a positive attitude. Mylotters are having different opinions and we should learn to accept and respect others opinions and make them feel free to express it by our comments. We should not fight back again and agian to force people to accept our opinions.

I will agree with that,i have seen as well as i have come across the same thing,but i tend to let things go over my head as life is too shortto be putting up with it.I now tend to go to the happy discussions or the discussions that are asking how would someone deal with situations as that way when i go to bed at the end of the night i feel i have done something good in my day for someone else.

I too have noticed this and I think that it is not even right to treat people like that on here when its supposed to be a fun place. I don't think I really ever had anyone send me a nasty commen on here yet, it may be that I hadn't been on here for long, but I think that the best thing to do is just steer clear of the discussions and comments that have those arguments in them and just stick with the comments that are happy ones and if anyone sends you a nasty comment just ignore. Hopefully, those people will either give up on being nasty to people or just leave.

I've had a nasty one/two too. But, mylot is not always about happy. it's about life and relationships. Take it for what it is. People are people and there is always going to be a fuss here and there. I got an email --- a discussion from a person who did cause some concern a while back yesterday and I did answer---short and sweet but did not come back at her. Just smile and don't follow in their foot steps !!!

I also haven't experienced that before, but I think some people jsut want spice in their life. It is like they are seeking for conflicts and stuff haha.

As one member had stated this is something that has been going on for a while. In fact I left mylot because I couldn't take the crap. I deleted one account due to trolls, then found out it was a so called friend that was bashing my star. He even went so far as to having me banned when I came back with a new account. So I had hoped with all of my heart that by now things had changed. I guess not by the sound of it. Mylot did use to be fun loving and a happy place at one time, I wish that could happen again. In fact I am trying everything possible to avoid any confrontations with people this time around. I figure if someone starts just go offline for a few days and let them Chill. I have been so busy lately with the puppies that I haven't had the chance to even get in here. Yesterday was my first time in here in a week, and I got in all of 30 minutes, so I haven't seen any arguments yet luckily.

I think you'll notice that on any site. I try to ignore it and when I talk with people, I try to say things in the most respectful way possible. Good thing there are people like you on here that aren't here for that reason :)

Because some of the people are tired of their life and they are happy when they are picking on some people and bully them. They like to see people became angry. They think it is fun to hurt someone. Mylot is a fun and friendly site, but they are totally against it. They are here to spread anger and destruction. I don't entertain them. I don't go down to their level because this is a virtual world. There are many that offended me but I can still take it.

myLot forum that can be read anyone who saw it this happen anywhere, if someone does not like what we write. What can you do to control all the people here, they hurt themselves if the comment that hurt someone else. This place should be fun, and we make a big family here.

hello door mouse, well, this had been happening since the day mylot was made or probably the day when mylot became more popular than ever. it is fun because there are topics that are way of and doesn't really ignite serious debates or arguments here and there. it's been like this for a long time now, to be honest it was a lot worse a few months ago. don't worry such disturbance usually goes away thanks to the admin.

i think i am belong to that ' some people' aalso my comments was short and not fun might closed to fun.

Unfortunately that ends up happening in all forums and social networks. It's really sad that people can't just hang on well and be friends, but that's human beings for us. I also want people to get along well

I am also don't want mylot to be as you said. It is a place for us to hv fun and communicate in a good mood.
