To all you drummers!

Hey everybody, I've been drumming for seven years, but I've never seriously played in a band. Not to brag, but I'm pretty fast and have good coordination, and whenever I cover a song while listening to my Ipod, I don't have much trouble no matter how complex to song is. What I really want tips on is writing drum parts for songs. My brother is coming home from college soon where he is a music major, and he wants me to write some drum parts to his band's demoes. It's mostly pop-punk, and I'm really excited, but I don't really know how to write a good part. Any advice? Thanks so much. Cheers!
