Have you ever been obsessed with something? A food? An activity? Neat freakiness? A person you are/were in a relationship with? Was it a good obsession or a bad obsession? If you decide that you don't want to be obsessed any more, how do you get yourself un-obsessed?

I am obsessed with a game on fb. It drives me insane trying to beat my high score. Worse yet, I have become so obsessed with it that I have become competitive. I am forever trying to beat a friend's score every week. Of course, the harder I work at beating her, the more obsessed I become with the game. Good or bad obsession? For me it is bad. I find myself playing the game for 2 or 3 hours at a time and not even realizing that I have been on there that long. I have things I need to be doing, ya know? As for un-obsessing myself, it usually takes care of itself. Sooner or later the game won't load, or it slows down the computer or something and I just stop playing.

Hey, it's Bo, long time no see!
Now see, that's why I just don't want to get into some of those things on FB. I'm afraid that I will never get OFF again!

Besides being obsessed with Mafia Wars, the game on Facebook, I'm also obsessed with healthy living. Like choosing the right kind of food (the more healthier the better), I'm starting to become a fweak lately. Checking out for fruits in the fridge and if I can't find any, I'll go crazy..LOL. Other than that, I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with people, but there is this particular hobby of mine; I love to read blogs; it can be friends blogs and just about anyone. So, if there are people out there with interesting blogs (and not the money making kind), can list me down the url(s), LOL..

I read varieties; recreation, sports blog, leisure, travel blogs.. usually I get it on blogger.com. Too much to read, too little time. Maybe I should start bookmarking them instead of reading at random. Your family blogs? Now that's interesting..

Well, if you are obsessed with the things I write on Mylot, then I would say that is a very good thing. For you, it will be the opportunity to gain much wisdom. For me, I will gain exposure from all the time you spend responding to what I write.
Pretty sweet deal, right? No reason for you to get un-obsessed that I can think of. Have a nice day - as if you have a choice of activity!

I have many obsessions... I think they run in my family as both my sisters are the same....when we collect something then we get a ton of it.....when we start a new craft project....we buy everything in sight. Obsessed in relationships...not. Anyway not that I know of anyway or what would be categorized as an obsession.

hi dawnald well I did not think I was obsessed with my computer just addicted but my friends here say we never see you aand when we do you are always going on about mylot? whats with that, why the obession? well if they have never been on here its sort of hard to explain but I do not think mine is so much obession as just a good addiction to mycomputer and mylot. besides I get amused when people here say you are 83 and you can actually use a computer? well gee whiz I was 56 when I first learned and yes I can actually use it, I do not program it, I just use it, therein lies the difference. We do not lose all our brains just cause we age, at least not all of us. my roomie is always going on about something she has misplaced and blaming the gangs for stealing it, nobody but the c are givers and us two can get into this room. ,paranoid? or losing a few synapses in the brain perhaps;

It's pretty easy to get addicted to something that's fun and that makes a person happy!

Not me! I know absolutely NOTHING about computers or the internet.
I know ONE program (MS Publisher) and I know that inside out, back to front and upside down - and nothing else.

Yes, and right now, I am so obsessed with Michael Jackson, it's weird because he's not here in this world anymore. But I think this obsession will going to last for a lifetime. I love the feeling of being obsessed.

I have usually been hurt by something they do to get unobssesed, enough is enough sometimes. I hate how long it has taken me to do that so many times.

I was told from my husband that I had an obsession for people running over me..I didn't see it that way but maybe I do. When it comes to my family I probably let them run over me to a point.
I started a couple of months back to work on that. It was hard to tell them no and I knew that it was a shock for them as well.
I will proud to say that as of today the I WANTS" are getting farther away..Yeah for me..
Keep Smiling.

I let people walk over me a bit, but I wouldn't call it an obsession. More like a desire not to make waves or to be nice at my own expense...

I am obsessed with keeping things clean, and sometimes drive the people I am around nuts because I am constantly picking up after them and washing their dishes their still using. I can also be ocd about my teeth, as I brush them, floss them, scrape them, etc many times a day, and sometimes will brush so hard that my gums will bleed. It's bad but I'm just really obsessed with keeping things clean, and when I start, I don't stop. Not that this is a bad obsession per say, just not a good one when I'm around slobs/careless,messy people.

That is my husband, and I'm fine with it EXCEPT when he moves my things on me and neither one of us can find them.

I use to be obsessed with my work. I almost killed myself working too hard, too long. I ended up in the hospital a couple of times, but as soon as I got back to work, it started all over...long days, 7 days a week. To get un-obsessed, I retired. It took me a full two years to finally start to relax. Now, I can't believe I worked like that. And I don't plan to become that obsessed with anything ever again. I don't even want a passion...

Yes I have and it was not good. Like everything else only time can do it plus maybe counselling. By the time we have worked everything out then it is probably time for us to leave this world!

I think we all have had an obsession of one sort or another. Mine come and go..lol. I am at the moment obsessed with trying to better my life. Sometimes it's my house cleaning and others it's my job. I am always obsessed with my kids. I guess for the most part my obsessions are good. I'm just tired sometimes from them.

Hi there. I think I am obsessed with a lot of things---money, my boyfriend, computer...It's very difficult because sometimes I think there's no way for me to escape from all of these obsessions.
