My cat was stolen.

Okay I have run across a situation. I had a beautiful cat and I have been taking care of her for like 6 months and another person as been doin the same (so they say) Today I notice that my jewels didnt come back home and there was a poster that said has anyone been missin a gray cat with a bobbed tail. I cant afford to take care of the cat and it needs a good home. Please call this number and then I took the number bc it was my cat jewels. Well when I contacted the person she said that she wanted to keep the cat. I literally started crying bc I never got the name of the person and they claim that its their cat. I have lost my little girl and I made an appt to get papers on her and she has taken her. I know I shouldnt be upset bc I didnt have papers on her. I actually made the appt to get her shots and an papers but now I have lost the cat forever and I dont know what to do. I am so emotional. Someone please help me. Thank you.

I have come to realize that I should let go. Animals pick their owners and if she keeps jewels against her free will then she will regret it. Cats are naturally independent creatures and I knew my Jewels and I even gave her space to roam outside over night (since she was fixed) and se would come back the next day. But I knew something was wrong and then I saw the poster. But yes I have realized this thank you.

Hi, Caramel0788. I am very sorry that your cat is gone. If this woman says that it was her cat, can she show you the papers on this fact? It would be nice if this woman would let you keep the cat on certain days being that you found it. If it weren't for you finding this cat, something bad would have happened to it. And this lady would no longer have this cat herself. She should count her blessings that someone like you has found this cat and has taken well care of it. There are so many people that abuse animals everyday and it is just sad. I am glad that you took great care of this cat. Maybe you should talk to her and let her know how you feel since the cat is gone. Hopefully, she will find it in her heart to let you have some kind of relationship with this cat. I hope that everything works out for you. And I am very sorry that it had to come to this

She has claimed that she is goin to take the cat to an appt and get papers on her so that I cant have her. And she wants me to have nothing to do with the cat. She did not even bother to tell her name or show herself and I havegone as far as in send her pics of me and jewels. My boyfriend said that if she let jewels back out then to get her and take her to the vet and see if she is claimed and then get papers on her bc he knows that the girl cant have pets out here and will get a huge fine or get put out for housing an animal without puttin her on the lease. He's even thought of calling the manager and telling on her just so that she can get in trouble for being such a meanie. I told him that Karma will tak care of the whole thing.
