Before me & my sibling got married we usually give a part of our income to our parents as a help for the needs at home. Even up to now we are still practicing to do it even if my brother is not living with us anymore he still continue to give financial support to our parents even if they did not ask for it. It only serves as a help for whatever they need. But I only give sometime if I have an extra money since I don't have any well paying job yet. But as I have noticed from my relatives who were working with good paying job they are easily influenced by their wives even if they have an extra money they will not give anything to their parents only to their in-laws & its the cause mostly of the quarrel when the wife find out that they secretly send money to their parents. If the spouse will give to the in-laws they will always count what they give. How many of you are influenced by your spouses? Are you comfortable of not giving to your own parents because your spouse will not allow you? What will be your move? Do you both spouse have a joint account for the needs of the family & separate accounts so that your spouse cannot question your finances?

I am not married but can only say you that if you cant help your parents than why you were doing any job or are in business, The money we earn are the returns of what work we do to help others whether directly or indirectly.
