I currently earn about $8 to $10 on page views each month on Associated Content. I am going to try to TRIPLE that amount next payout. How? I am writing more articles, first of all, and trying to better utilize SEO techniques. Also, I have been writing about current events and performing well with page views. I hope to make at least $25 in page views next pay out.
Have you ever made an effort to double or triple your PV income on Associated Content? If so, what did you do to raise the PVs, and how successful were you? Thanks for sharing, and please wish me luck!

Hi Bethany! I am sure you will be able to reach your goal. The best way to raise your page views is SEO and current entertainment event. A good person to read to see what brings in page views is Angel Vee. For the life of me I would love to be able to do what she is doing in page views. LOL Keep working on it and you can get there. Don't forget evergreen articles. I am being happily surprised by mine.

Great tips, thanks. I saw some of your other tips regarding evergreen articles such as holidays and have written a few of those and plan on writing more. Thanks again! Best wishes.

A couple of months ago, I decided to start writing more articles on eHow and try to increase my search engine optimization. I usually write about travel, so I hadn't really thought about writing about current events.
However, I have been placing links to my eHow articles on my blog. In addition, I started another blog on a travel site. Plus, I put my links on Twitter and Facebook. It seemed like with the additional articles and the links to them, I am earning about double what I was before. I'm now at about $20 a month.
I think you have a good point of writing about current events. Perhaps, I could write on my blog about the current events in the cities that I am writing about in the articles that my blog links to.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for the ideas. Have a wonderful day!

I'd be curious to know more about your travel blog. Can you share with us what travel site you are linked to? I have been thinking about starting a travel blog (I have one on book reviews now) because I have so many travel articles. I can use Blogger, but it makes sense to be linked with other travel information instead of in the middle of a mishmash of different blogs with different topics. Thanks for any information you can provide!

Thanks for sharing your progress and your tips. I have been trying to promote on Twitter and FaceBook as well but don't think I am good at that... LOL I don't know. I am sure every little bit helps for me, though.
I have thought about starting a blog but am not sure WHERE to start...

I hope that you make great progress and that you come back and share it with us...what worked, how you are doing in that regard. I plan to work on increasing my PVs and articles, but I am waiting till the New Year to begin with that. I'll be lucky to get much of anything posted this month with all the Christmas activities. I think one key is the social networking sites and linking your articles.
Good luck, you are very ambitious and I wish you every success with this!

Look forward to seeing your results. I wonder if payments just naturally go up each month (for me) or if there are ups and downs with the type of articles I write. I did do some season articles for December but far less than most people. Really, I mostly wrote the type of article I usually do this month supplemented by an occasional holiday article.

Bethany:
Are we following each other on AC? I can help give you some page views. I haven't been on much over the holidays, but come January I should be back to my old habits of reading and writing. My name on AC is Christine Zibas.

I have just recently started writing for Associated Content. I have gone for the upfront payments so far and have not given much thought to the PV's. I was wondering if you were getting upfront payments for current news articles. I am interested in writing content that earns money upfront and in the long run. I am a beginner so any information you can supply I would greatly appreciate.

I submit most of my articles for up-front payments. I don't know if news articles qualify because I rarely write them. I don't think slideshows and poetry and a few other things qualify for up-front, although they do generate performance pay.
I have earned several hundred dollars just from up-front payments over the last year and about $100 in a year from page views.
I often write about Health & Wellness topics, such as the health benefits of certain foods or herbs or spices, and I also review products, restaurants, etc and get up-front payments for all of that. I write a lot of poetry but do not get paid up-front for it.
What's your name on AC? I will check out some of your stuff and add you to my faves. : )

I hadnt in the past did anything to increase page views. However recently I have decided to do things to increase them even though I make a decent amount per month ( I make anywhere from eighteen dollars to twenty eight dollars a month). I have added links to my mylot profile page to my articles. I also have decided to add links to my blog.

I don't really use AC as an income, I ghost write for another site that I do pretty well at but I'd like to grow my own library of articles and I think AC is the place to do that. I plan to start growing my library next year and my goal is 200 articles. Since I've been writing as a ghost writer I've learned about SEO techniques and how to make sure my article is at the top of the search engine list. Bethany, you don't need luck, you've got skill!

I really don't use AC as an income, as I do have a full-time job, but I would love to be able to double or triple what I make there, which is altogether only about $100 a month right now, give or take -- depending on how much I decide to write in a given month. I write for eHow as well, and would like to raise my earnings there, too, but I want to increase earnings from AC first.
