Hey all, things are looking up for me.
I just happened to email a company that I did some temporary work for last summer to see if they needed any help. Turns out they are buying a new computer system, so they need me to come in and do some data entry. I am excited. I like temp jobs, because I can still travel, etc.
I am also looking at purchasing another place, so that I can move out of my friends' guest room. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Good deal kykidd
See I knew that you had that determination in you. That is what us KY girls are made of. We put our mind to something and you just go for it..I hope that this might lead to something else for you as well.
Have a good evening.
Keep smiling.

The people at work talk like they might want me to stick around for the long haul. It will still be kind of laid back, as far as needing days off and stuff. So, I think it will work out well.
Plus, the house in which I have placed an offer is a 3-unit (in foreclosure), so that will be additional income as well.
Thanks so much for your confidence and all of your responses in my discussions. I am sure I will talk to you again, but just want to say Happy Holidays!

What great news for you. I always think, if possible, it's good to keep in touch with previous employers as they may think of you for the job or, as in your case, you contact them and it's just when they are writing the job advert. I too have had temporary jobs but I much prefer a permanent contract, I prefer to know what I'm doing long term and like the other benefits that come with it.
Good luck with the house hunting, hope that it doesn't take you too long to find your perfect place. Just don't rush and regret it though, you may have to stay there for a long time.

Thanks Kelly. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I found a house/apartment. The reason I say that is, it is a house that has 3 apartments. It was in foreclosure, and the price was right. It has taken me a while to get settled, but it already feels like home. I feel really lucky! Plus, it came with one already rented out. And the guy who rents it is real swell! So, hopefully an addition to my retirement plan. Some people have 401k's, I have rental properties!
