Well I think that they shouldnt be banned from producing soft drinks, however they should be banned from having any harmfull contents inside their products, this not only puts us at risk but also the workers how have to deal with these 'poisins' on a daily basis, in fact the countries in whic these companies are based should keep a tab on these companies and make sure that they do not use these substnaces in their products. And if these companies refuse then yes, they should be banned from producing these products because what they are doiing is slowly damaging our health. There is an acid that is used in coke...phosphoric acid....this substance can burn through 5 inch iron in a matter of seconds and can you beleive it , we drink it. If you have ever had any sort of pains in your legs , somewhere around your knees or on your elbows?..well guess what this is the acid eating through your flesh and ultimately your bones.

Hi!!
You're right but inspite of the reports these companies still deny the use of pesticides and other harmful contaminants in their soft drinks which ultimately is going to prove harmful to us - the consumers.I feel the government should take strict measures against these companies and must warn these companies regarding using pesticides in their drinks.

I have read of that article about maliciously adding pesticides on some soft drink beverages..
I guess the World health organization must have made inspections on such because pesticides has harmful effects on the body especially on the digestive system and nerve cells of any human who acquired such pesticides.
I believed that soft drinks beverages has high caffeine level and tend to be addicting to some people and if ever proven to have that harmful substance..
An alert warning in banning the said company should be made to avoid mortality rate in the over all population.

Hi!!
The WHO has made a report regarding the case but severe actions haven't been taken as yet.Its mostly children who are addicted to such drinks and its necessary to prevent the children from affecting their health by consuming such drinks, the companies need to understand that. Thanks for your response, :)

Hello,
If the WHO has no actions regarding this health problem. Then clearly it shows the big amount rendered by these companies to divert the attention to other problems instead of them. That is the reality.
The global competition for food is outraged and mostly they use their influential connections to make big market gross than being aware of health concerns and social responsibility.
There are also many food and various health products that are dangerous to people but still they are existing.
but I am sure, if these companies who have the said pesticides in cola drinks, those people with actual knowledge will never drink their own product. IT is a wise money making than conscience.
good for those who have knowledge with these to at least warn them.

I don't think soft drinks should be banned, but I think certain companies should be shut down when they are not honest about what is IN the coca-cola or how they're making it.It's dangerous to health!!Maybe they could just make a healthier cola! :)NOT diet soda!! Some of those diet sodas have more in it than the regular!!

Hi!!
Yeah I agree with you that they shouldn't be banned,it was just a generalized statement made by me.If the companies follow the regulatory rules there won't be any reason to ban these drinks but they need to follow those rules and avoid use of pesticides in the drinks. Thanks for you response, take care :).

They've been putting pesticides in their drinks? Why? o___O
Could you please link me to the reports you mentioned? I want to read more info on this.
Well, I don't think all carbonated beverages should be banned outright. But if any companies are found to be using overly harmful chemicals in their products, those companies should definitely be shut down and their products recalled.
