My fellow hockey fans and I were talkng the other night and we started talking about the dream job to have. I would really love to work in Toronto in that booth with every hockey game being played, televised at once. Can you imagine..a job that demands you watch hockey? But then I decided I wanted to be the equipment manager for My Wings. Smelly sweat was brought up..but it would be Red Wing sweat! What would be your dream hockey job..the only catch is that you can't be a player, it has to be associated with hockey..and piloting the wings' plane is off the table, my brother-in-law says that job his his..my brother-in-law is really big, I wouldn't wrestle him for it of I were you guys. I'm still deciding between toronto and smelly sweat and the chance to fondle wings equipment.

Being in the war room would be GREAT. It would be just like my life, chaotic!! I'm use to multi-tasking and making tough decisions. Since I am a graphics designer I think I would like to design the logos for the NHL teams. And if Justin Williams from the LA Kings needed a personal assistant I could do that too! :) Oh my!!!

I better get off this discussion. There's some rubbing involved.

You have no shame woman!! I'm pretty good at the multi-tasking myself, I could rub shannies shoulders in the war room, watch the games, and hold his coffee all at the same time.

While I was driving around today, I heard Shani being interviewed on the radio on his new job as VP of hockey and Business Development. He was telling the guys on the radio on his daily schedule of going into meetings everyday, and doing marketing. But he said that the thing that he is most excited about is the part when he gets to Toronto and see in person the whole production of the war room, where he would see all the games being played. Sorry jewels49, I think Shani has a couple steps ahead of you in terms of that position. For me, I like to be the analyst that stands in-between the benches during the games. I don't know if you've seen some of these games. Ray Ferraro is sometimes in there. He has a front row seat/place of all the abuse that players throw at each other. You'd have to be alert though, as you may get hit by an errant puck.

Yeah, it was funny when Shane O'Brien (Canucks) was spearing Sean Avery with a hockey stick and Ray Ferraro was in the middle trying to give a play by play. I would even trade my collection of useless mailboxes to be in the middle of that brouhaha!

I will hold shannies coffee if Sarah doesn't pull rank on me. Larry Murphy stands between the benches at the joe, he's taken a couple of high sticks, got caught in a couple fights and been hit by pucks..he keeps going in, so it must be a cool job. The ultimate crosswalk duty for bounce.

Sarah..I never thought of that job, you're right your contribution would be evident all over the ice. And you would get to have contact with every player on the team, taking care of their most important piece of equipment. Very original and clever.

Hi umer5222..the catch to this is..that you can't be a player..it has to be associated with hockey in some other way..

Hmmm I would want to be the official in the Penalty Box. Tim Conboy of the Canes (and Currently of the Albany River Rats) has a tendency to take off his sweater while in the box to adjust his pads. He wears no shirt under his pads!!! Also, it would be great fun to listen to the yelling matches that happen between players after they have fought. The best way to get up close and personal with my favorite hockey boys and get paid for it!!!

I knew you would say something about Conboy!!! Something tells me you would rather be in the box with Ruutu, your favorite Finn?
